Hello everyone, I'm Katie. This is my first fanfic, so I hope you like it. The main characters in this story are Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, Prongs, and Lily (who, of course, belong to the fabulous J.K Rowling). With a few special appearances by the flowers (Lily's friends... I made them up

).

This story takes place between the time Harry is born, until the night James and Lily are murdered; so this begins when Lily and James are about 19 or 20 years old. Please post if you have any comment or suggestions for me.

Chapter 1: The Marauders

Lily Potter wobbled to the door when she heard the doorbell ring. It was late July, she was 8 1/2 months pregnant, and the baby was due at anytime. Lily opened the door and hugged the man standing in the doorway.

"Sirius!!!!! How are you? We've missed you!!!!! That mission for the order took months longer than it was supposed to!!!! James will be delighted to see you!" Lily exclaimed as she pulled him inside.

"Lils, I'm fine," Sirius replied, trying to calm her down. “But look at you... You have really let yourself go!!!"

Lily slapped his arm playfully, and pretended to be furious, "Sirius Black, how dare you say that to a pregnant women?!"

"Lily calm down!" Sirius insisted," I was only joking!"

"Whatever," Lily said as she rolled her eyes, jokingly. "James," she called from the base of the stairs, "James! Come down here!"

James ran down the stairs with a panicked look on his face. "Are you ok? Is it time?" James asked.

"No," Lily said," But I thought-"

James cut her off, very quickly. "Then why did you call me down here Lily?" asked James, trying to keep the annoyance out of his voice, "I told you that Moony is in a very difficult stage of his transformation, and that I should be with him at all times."

"Fine," Lily replied cooly, "I just thought that you'd like to know Sirius is here."

"Hi-ya Prongs!" said Sirius with a wide smile, as he stepped into the kitchen.

"Oi! Padfoot! How are you?" James asked as he pulled Sirius into a hug. "Come, sit down, you must be exhausted."

"So much for 'needing to be with Remus at all times'," Lily mumbled, inaudibly.

"Hey Lily, do you think you could make us some coffee?" asked James.

"Honestly James!" Lily said sarcastically, "You care more about Sirius's comfort than mine. You'd think he was the one carrying your baby!"

"Sorry Lily," Sirius replied, after a quick wink to James. "We didn't want you to find out this way but-"

"Oh, shut up, Padfoot!" Lily exclaimed while James started to chuckle. Turning to James she said, "Remind me.... Why did I marry you?"

"Because," answered James, "You find me funny, witty, and extraordinarily handsome."

Lily snorted in reply.

Just then a very familiar werewolf trotted into the kitchen. "Remus look who's here!" Lily exclaimed when Moony pushed open the kitchen door. Moony howled with glee when he saw Sirius.

Moony began nudging Sirius’s hand with his nose. "Am I right in assuming that he is taking the Wolfsbane potion?" asked Sirius.

"Yes," Lily replied, “I’ve been making it for him."

"That's wicked Lily! You always were the best at potions!" Sirius said and Lily glowed with pride.

"Yeah," James replied, "Partly because Slughorn favored her." Lily scowled at her husband.

"Yeah, but James," Sirius replied, "I'm pretty sure that Slughorn favored her because she was a natural at potions."

"Whatever," James mumbled.

"Oh, he's just sore because he only got an E in his potion's NEWT; when I got an O!" Lily smirked, brining up an old joke that Sirius fondly remembered.

Fortunately, James didn't hear that comment or there would have been a major squabble.

Lily turned to Remus, and he whimpered. "James, Sirius, why don't you transform?" Lily suggested. "I don't think it's fair that Moony has to sit on the floor by himself."

The guys nodded in agreement and transformed; James into a handsome stag and Sirius into an enormous black dog.

"Cheeseburgers for dinner, right?" Lily asked.

Moony howled, Padfoot barked, and Prongs pounded his hooves, in agreement. So, Lily made them each had about ten cheeseburgers, which they ate ravenously.

After dinner, Moony had fallen asleep on the floor, and James and Sirius were human again. Looking at the lunar charts, James realized that the full moon ended that night; which meant that at sunrise Moony would transform back into a human. Lily rushed around the house retrieving every thing he would need to transform.

Then James insisted that she waited upstairs. Although Lily felt this was highly unnecessary, she did not argue. James’s request was actually quite practical; even under the effects of the potion, there were times when Moony could get out of control. James didn't want to take any chances, because someone might get bitten. So, Lily waited upstairs for about an hour. Finally, the howls of pain had stopped, and James called, "Lils you can come down now."

Lily raced down stairs and announced, to the room full of guys, "Good because it's time!"

NOOOOOOOO! HALLIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Poor Sirikins. That's like Eminem losing his daughter. That's so sad, I want to cry. PAMS!!!!

what the heck man? That's probably the most sadest chapter I've ever read, but I still love this story. Poor Vi and Hallie

*burts into tears* I can see now why you cried!! *sniffs* That is so dreadfully sad!!! *continues to cry* Oh, just think of the tears to come when this is over.. *sighs* I want to you to post the next part but I don't want you end the story!! *wanders away crying*

Hi everyone! I'm so incredibly sorry!

I really didn't want to kill them, but I kind of had to, 'cause they weren't in J.K Rowling's books.

Anyhoo, technically for me anyways, tomorrow is in 2 hours...... and since I don't have school tomorrow, I'll be posting then.....urrggg the anticipation is killing me!

Well... you didn't have to kill them off. That's what fan fics are for! Making up new characters... Or making the story you see it should go. Like some people think.. Harry and Parvati should be together... Or Ginny/Draco... Justs an opinion... Oh.. I just had to point out the parts I really liked

As Dumbledore took his leave, two tears strolled down his cheeks; for as much as he didn’t want to believe it, he knew that he would never see James or Lily Potter again.

Yeah.. That whole bit. Makes me.. er... happy? Or sad...? Something in between... Limboland!! Oh.. And I'm jealous you guys don't have school... *sighs* This story ends tomorrow.. And Charlie is going to die.. And marks are due Friday.. and I have a band test on thursday... Oh the tragedy!!! *sniffs* PAMS!!! Hey... If you finish this story, that means we get a sequel! Ok, so there's some good in you ending this off...

My big creative brain.....I'm not sure whether that is a compliment or an insult. Big Brain..... is that like saying I have a big head?

Don't worry I'm just teasing you! And I'm going to sleep after I post..... I just can't sleep now, I'm too anxious. I'm counting down the minutes.....only 26 left to go.....I'm so strange

To my readers:
It has been exactly 9 months since I began this fic; we have reached 18 pages, 43 chapters, and 435 posts! It’s been fun, hasn’t it? Now as promised, the final post to The Traitor

Chapter 43: The End

“James, darling, where’s your wand?” Lily asked.

James took it out from his back pocket, and handed it to Lily. “Why do you need it?” he asked.

“Well, I feel bad,” Lily said. “It’s Halloween and we don’t have any candy for the children.”

Lily waved the wand and conjured up a few small, hard candies. “Here,” she said, handing James the candy. “Go give these to Harry and Hannah.”

James smiled, kissed Lily, and walked out to the living room. He paused to watch the children momentarily. Hannah looked longingly at Harry’s small teddy bear, and when Harry realized she wanted to play with it, he handed the bear to his baby sister; and then Hannah let Harry play with her rattle in return.

James patted them each on the head, and when handed them the candy they giggled.

“James, I’m going to start dinner now,” Lily called from the kitchen. “Do you have any preferences?”

“I’ll just have some of the left over chicken, from last night, Lils,” James called back. “Do you need any help?”

“No,” Lily replied. “You can just watch the children, if you want. Oh I know,” Lily said. “Why don’t you read that book I got for you on house-cleaning potions?”

James smiled, and mumbled, “Oh yes, that should be quite a read!”

Lily smiled as well, and called, “I heard that!”

James sat down, reading the ‘fascinating’ book potions, when he heard the front door open. At that moment, he knew; he just knew what was going to happen.

James stood up, and grabbed his wand from the table. When he looked up, Voldemort was standing there, smirking in his face.

“Hello Potter,” Voldemort said, “You don’t look happy to see me. I’m dreadfully sorry for just dropping in; perhaps I should have called first.”

James did not reply; he simply stood there, glaring at Voldemort. “Well, aren’t you going to run, or hide?” he asked. When James did not reply, he said, “Fine, have it your way.”

With a simple wave of his wand, Voldemort flung James across the room; he landed on top of the coffee table, smashing it. His head was bleeding, and he couldn’t move, all he could feel was pain.

Voldemort walked over to the playpen; and James slowly started to stand. Voldemort took one look at Harry, and said, “You are the one who is supposed to bring about my demise? I don’t think so. Avada Kedavra!”

“NOOO!” James shouted.

Hannah had blinked and transported herself directly in front of Harry. James hit Voldemort with a spell, and propelled him into the next room. Tears began freely falling down James’s face as he looked down on his baby girl; he placed her on the couch and walked in the other room to battle Voldemort.

Lily, who had been upstairs at the time, came running down, shouting, “James I heard a crash! Is everything all right?”

Lily ran in, and saw her baby lying motionless on the floor, she began to weep hysterically. James could hear her, he wanted desperately to hold her, but he had to stay and fight.

James yelled. “Lily, take Harry and go! It’s him! Go! Run! I’ll hold him off-”

Lily grabbed the crying Harry and ran up the stairs. She ran into the nursery, locked the door, and set Harry down in his crib.

All of a sudden there was a loud bang, and a thud; Lily knew exactly what that meant. “Oh James!” she cried, silent tears running down her lightly freckled cheeks.

Harry started to wail. “Shush, Harry, shush,” Lily said. “Mummy’s here, it’s all going to be all right.”

Suddenly the door burst open, and there was a high pitched cackle of laughter.

Voldemort slowly advanced towards them; Lily knew she didn’t have a chance, especially without her wand.

“Not Harry!” she cried. “Not Harry! Please- I’ll do anything-”

“Stand aside!” Voldemort commanded. “Stand aside, you silly girl!”

An eerie green light shot from Voldemort’s wand, and everything went black.

That ending may have given me a couple of tears, but I still think that this was one of the greatest stories I have ever read!

I'm just so sad that this is actually over poor Hannah, Lily, James, Sirius, Remus...oh the heck with it, poor everybody!

NO. NO FREAKING WAY. OMG. Katieeeee that was so sad. And tragic. I don't like Voldie anymore. But then again, I still do because he's so evil. This fic rocked my socks Katiekins!!!!!!! Hope there's a sequel. Love ya

Did Charlie die? I was so happy last night 'cause I thought Meredith (from Grey's Anatomy) was gonna die, but she didn't!!!
