Chapter 14: Heard 'Em Say - Kanye West f/ Adam Levine

Tonight could have well taken the place of the best night of my life. We swam, we kissed, we talked. I could never imagine having that fun with her. I tossed and turned in my bed. I can't sleep. I keep thinking about what she asked me.

Flashback

She laid back and floated on the top of the water, while still in my arms. "Draco..Can I ask you something?"

"Another question? You're not going to make me pour my heart out to you, are you? Malfoys don't do that."

"Just answer the doggone question. How come you always played the act of a bad boy? If I had known we'd be doing this when I first met you, I would have changed my mind about you sooner."

I laughed. "It wasn't and has never been an act, Hermione. It's who I am, and always will be. You are just experiencing more I have to offer. I choose who are good enough for me to spoil."

She smiled and took a long look at me. Then she kissed me on the cheek and swam out of the lake.

End of Flashback.

It's insane because, just when I think I have her figured out...she surprises me. I guess that's what makes me coming back for more.

And then I fell asleep.

When I woke up, I was drenched in sweat. And then I remembered why. I dreamt of my father chasing after me with a knife. He wanted to kill me for going out with Hermione. Thank Merlin it was a dream.

And I heard 'em say. Nothin ever promised tomorrow today. And I heard 'em say. Nothin ever promised tomorrow today. But we'll find a way. And nothing lasts forever but be honest babe, it hurts but it may be the only way.

i apologize for not posting in forever. i've been busy busy busy!!! here you go:

Chapter 15: Night Air - Teddy Geiger


"Hermione, Malfoy's been staring over here all morning. Is anything going on with him in your Dorm?" Harry asked me. I was pretty preoccupied with the Daily Prophet, so I didn't even notice. But when I looked up, I saw what Harry was talking about. Draco was staring at me from across the Hall. He smiled when he saw me look back. It was a real smile that I thought I would never see from him. I happily returned it.

"Hermione?" Harry waved a hand in front of my face.

"No. Nothing important," I said quickly.

"Because if there is, I'll be sure to have his face show the results of it," Ron growled while cracking his knuckles.

"No need for that....really..." I reassured. Love them to death, I really do, but I swear they are more like my brother then anything. It's their overprotective qualitites that make Harry and Ron very unbearable.

Herbology with the Slytherins..Yes! So here I am, at one end of the greenhouse while Draco's at the other. And yet, I couldn't help but sneak glances. Professor Sprout was squaking something about parnters. I just love his blonde hair and his -

"Miss Granger with Mr. Malfoy!" she loudly. I jumped and fell out of my stool. People snickered, but I immediatley stood up and straightened myself. I looked over at him and he smirked.

"Okay. Move, NOW!" she clapped her hands together.

While I gathered my things, Harry whispered in my ear, "Good luck."

I sat down next to Draco. "Fate, I tell you," he said to me softly.

"You really think so?" I asked. Our hands both reached out at the same time for the pot, and brushed against each other.

"Draco Malfoy is never wrong," he said.

I rolled my eyes with a smile. "Yes, but that's called being cocky."

Draco laughed softly.

"Thinking you can get whatever you desire with a smirk or your charm." I was trying to focus on the plant we were working on.

"My charm," he repeated with a smirk. "Did it work on you?"

I noticed Ron trying to listen in on our conversation. I reached down and squeezed his hand.

When I tried to release my hand, he squeezed on it harder and didn't let it go. Then he spoke so only I could hear. "I told you. Draco Malfoy is never wrong."

After class, Harry and Ron caught up with me. "So," Ron asked, "how was Malfoy for a partner?"

I rolled my eyes. Honestly, Ron is the nosiest. "The usual. Trying to prove his point in a proud way." But they would never know what exactly he was trying to prove.

"Sounds like him. But I find it odd that he seems rather out of our way lately," Harry wondered aloud. But then Draco was walking toward us. "Or maybe I spoke too soon."

"Oi, it's Potter and Weasel. You two are together so mucch, I wouldn't be surprised if you were engaged," he sneered. I could've sworn I saw him look be over before focusing on Ron and Harry.

"What do you want, Malfoy?" Ron spoke through clenched teeth.

"Actually I came for Hermi - Granger. Granger. I came for Granger. Professor McGonnagall wants to see us about our Head and Boy duties."

"Alright..."And I followed Draco.

"Did she really need to see us?" I asked him as he hurried up the stairs once we were back in the castle.

"No," he finally answered when he pushed in a empty classroom and locked the door. "I just really needed to do this." And he whisked me up into a kiss.

And I feel like I do, even more now that I'm leavin and well I feel just like I do. Even more when I'm with you...

I second that apologie for not posting in forever...I've been busy with school or busy trying to catch up on sleep. I loved the last two posts, it was just what I needed to cheer me up enough to go read my boring history textbook....eventually. Anyway, the lyrics were, again, terrific. Chapter 16: Me & U - Cassie*

I do have to say it was like me to lie just to get to spend sometime with her, a natural Draco move. We were in that room for about...2 hours? It felt longer, probably because something about kissing her makes me want to enjoy it. And oh ho, I do.

That night we had to patrol the castle. hermione had left before me so I was all by my lonely self in the big dark castle. Perfect setting really, I love it when there's no lights on in the castle. Makes it mysterious.

As I rounded the corner, I heard someone walk towards me. I quietly stepped back against the stone wall. It was Hermione. I could tell by her curvy silouette and slow breathing. Perfect timing. When she was almost past me, I reached for her hand and pulled her against me. She let out a small scream before I covered her mouth.

"Have you checked the children?" My voice drawled. I saw her eyes get wide and she slapped my hand away from her mouth.

"DRACO MALFOY!" She hit me hard on the arm.

"Ow!" That one really hurt.

"You nearly scared me out of my pants!!" She whispered harshly.

"Now that I would like to see," I smirked.

She hit me again in the same spot. "Will you stop?!" I asked, rubbing my sore arm.

"Then don't be such a perv, Draco."

"I'm sorry but old habits die hard," I grinned.

"Old habits? You were just feeling me up earlier! When we were kissing! You should remember.." She walked away.

Uh, whoa. "Hey, hey, hey!" I caught up with her. "Now that's just my style. Do you have a problem with the way I kiss?"

She stopped walking. "I don't remember saying I did."

"Well you were certainly impressing the idea," I said. I walked slow, trying to find her in the dark.

"I'm sor-OW! Draco, that was my foot!!" She yelped quietly.

I jumped back. "It's dark and I can't exactly see!"

"You COULD be more careful..Ouch.."

"Can you feel?" I ask.

"The searing pain in my foot, yes."

"Just answer the question."

"Yes, Draco, I can feel."

"Okay, then reach out for my hand." I stuck out my hand somewhere in front of her.

She instantly grabbed it. "Okay.."

I gently brought her to me. Before I could say anything else, her lips reached mine. I felt as if I left my body. A crazy feeling, it is.

She parted her lips from mine. "My arm does really hurt from when you socked me five times," I say.

"And does my foot.."

"So, how are you going to heal my pain?" I drop my voice to a whisper.

"By saying sorry," she teased. "Sorry!!" She laughed and walked away.

Just relax and let me make that move, it's out secret thing. Keep it between me and you. It's me and you, now, I've been waitin, think I wanna make that move now. Baby tell me if you like it..
