Come Back New post! It took a while to get used to the new routine. With Quidditch practice every day except the weekends, Christelle had to use the international Floo network, which was set up to the Burrow, to get back to England. And then, she and Ginny would Apparate to the Pitch. After practice, Christelle would either stay at the Burrow for dinner or go back to Romania and hang out with Charlie. Most free days were spent training the dragons, which she found quite fun and interesting. She even had a liking to one of the newborn dragons. Charlie let her name it and she helped in caring for it. Even though Ginny kept hinting at it, Christelle declared over and over again that she and Charlie were just friends. Nothing more. But nobody would believe it. She was getting frustrated that nobody believed her and would sometimes take it out on Charlie, though he knew she was just stressed that Bobby still hadn’t been found. He did like her. He liked her immensely. He might even be in love with her. But he refused to push her into something if she wasn’t ready, especially if she was looking over her shoulder constantly for her crazy ex-boyfriend. On one evening, Charlie and Christelle were lounging around Charlie’s flat, reading. Christelle kept sneaking glances at Charlie, scrutinizing his expressions, and it didn’t go unnoticed. Charlie’s lips started forming a thin line to keep from bursting into laughter and Christelle suddenly sighed. “Charlie?” she asked quietly. He looked up hesitantly, curiously. “Yeah?” “Do you like me?” she whispered, her eyes suddenly falling to the carpet. Charlie swallowed, trying to clear the lump in his throat. “Yes… But I get that you’re not ready for anything yet. I’ll wait,” he whispered. Christelle stayed quiet for a few minutes, before she suddenly stood, tripping over her own feet in the process. Charlie laughed as he went forward to help her. “No, don’t. This is wrong. I’m taking advantage of you… I’ll just stay with Harry and Ginny for a while,” she said quietly as she pushed herself off the floor. Charlie stood in front of her, flabbergasted. “Wait! What? Why?” he managed. “I’m sorry, Charlie… I shouldn’t have stayed with you like this. I just can’t,” she whispered before disappearing through the bedroom door to grab her things. She returned minutes later and Charlie was still in the same place as before. “Christelle, don’t do this… I promise everything is fine, I don’t mind,” Charlie pleaded. “I can’t do this to you, Charlie,” Christelle whispered before taking a hand full of Floo powder, stepping in the fireplace, and disappearing to the Burrow. George and Angelina were sitting in the living room when she came up in flames. They both jumped at the surprise as she grabbed her trunk and headed for the door. “Everything okay, Chris?” George asked. She started before turning around. “Yeah, sure, I’ll see you around,” she said quietly before leaving the house to Apparate to Harry and Ginny’s. She knocked on the door three times and waited, her face down as the tears flowed. She missed him. She had been away for maybe ten minutes and she already missed him. The door creaked open, Harry’s face peering around the door. “Christelle? Are you alright? Did something happen?” he asked urgently as he grabbed her trunk. She shook her head, about to say something. “Did you say Christelle, Harry? What is she doing here?” Ginny asked as she appeared at his side. “Are you okay?” “If you’d let me get it out,” she chuckled as they continued to stare at her. “I was wondering if the option to stay here was still available?” she whispered as another tear glided down her cheek. “Of course,” they both replied. Christelle nodded once before meeting Ginny’s eyes. “I couldn’t keep doing it to him,” Christelle whispered. “It was wrong, staying with him when I know he likes me as more than a friend… I just couldn’t,” she whispered as Ginny came forward and hugged her tightly. Ginny pulled her toward the living room, where they all sat down quietly, Ginny rubbing soothing circles into her back. A white form appeared out of thin air in the middle of the room as they all stared at it, speechless. It took the form of a dragon as it slowly stalked toward Christelle and Ginny on the couch. Come back, please, Charlie’s Patronus said. Christelle let out a sob as Harry and Ginny glanced at each other. Ginny had never known her brother to act like this; like he was in love and actually needed someone else. “D-do you mind if I retire for the night?” Christelle whispered as the Patronus disappeared. Harry shook his head, standing up to show her the way. He had already sent her luggage up to her room. “C’mon, I’ll show you where you can stay…if it’s what you want,” he added. Christelle nodded as they went for the stairs while Ginny went for parchment and a quill. Christelle curled up on the bed immediately as Harry shut the door on his way out. She cried easily into the comforter as her eyes slid shut. She sighed as her mind pulled up a profile image of a certain redhead. She liked him more than she liked any other person. And that’s why she couldn’t and wouldn’t get involved with him. Because when he breaks her heart, like all the others, it will hurt so much worse. Worse than worse, if that was possible. What do you think? :glomp: |
Awww...Emily ur gonna make me cry if Christ and Charlie continue like this. He pleaded for her - to her! That's heartbreaking! They love each other and they are being just like Ron and hermione at hogwarts and they aren't facing it - aren't doing anything about it! That NEEDS to change! Please? Sorry emotions are All over lately. I blame it on the twins ;) love~love~love *Lauren* |

I feel so bad for Christelle. Charlie and her belong together! But, she's going through so much at the moment and I can see the way she feels. Ahhhh, well, PAMS! :glomp: ^_^ |
Hello Emily. Great post. Alas, poor Charlie and Christelle, the victims of found love, lost love and misunderstanding love. I don't think Charlie is mistaken of his love for Christelle. He seems to be very mature and level headed. It is very sweet of him to give her room to sort her problems, but, what to do now?! Christelle is in a place where she can't possibly recognise the love she knows Charlie has for her. If she could, then she would know that he isn't anything like the other men in her life, because they didn't treat her like Charlie is treating her. What she had with the other men was them using and abusing her, not loving her. She needs to get more self esteem in herself, and know she's good enough to have someone like Charlie love her. I hope she's able to think things through and talk with Charlie so he doesn't get to bad with the dreaded love sickness. His job is too dangerous to not pay attention with his full focus on his job. Great post Emily. I'll be waiting for your next.:glomp: |
Great post Emily it is so sweet that he likes her and she shouldnt be worried that he would break her heart because its obvious that he wouldnt |

George. New post! ^_^ “Jeffries! What is the matter with you? That’s the fourth Quaffle you’ve let through the hoops!” Alex yelled at her. Ginny glared at the man and he huffed and flew towards his Beaters. “You okay?” Ginny asked softly. “Yeah, just not focused… Sorry,” Christelle whispered. “Don’t apologize to me… Harry said their hot on a trail… They think they may have found out where he’s been hiding,” Ginny whispered suddenly. Christelle’s head snapped up, her eyes wide. “Don’t worry, Chris, they’re trained Aurors,” Ginny reassured her. “So was I,” Christelle said shortly. Ginny smiled apologetically before flicking a piece of her auburn hair out of her eyes. “Charlie went with them…” she whispered. “What?” Christelle shrieked, making most of her team look over at them. “Why would you guys let him go?” she whispered venomously. “He’s a big boy; he makes his own decisions,” Ginny answered defensively. “What do you care anyway? You left him,” she said coldly. Christelle flinched before her eyes watered. Ginny was about to apologize but Christelle suddenly flew down to the ground and Apparated away. She found herself at the Burrow, in Charlie and Bill’s old room, cuddled up on Charlie’s bed, wishing his arm was around her right now to soothe her. But she was alone in a cold, empty bed, hugging herself. And that’s exactly what she looked like when Mrs. Weasley walked in the room. “Christelle, dear! I thought I heard someone come in… Do you want to talk about it?” she asked softly as she sat at the end of the bed. Christelle shook her head slowly. “No, it’s all right. Everything will be better once B—” Christelle gulped as they name stuck in her throat, but she forced it out anyway with a shudder. “Bobby is found,” she finished quietly. “Do you need help with anything for the wedding this Saturday?” “Are you sure you’re up for it?” Mrs. Weasley asked gently and Christelle nodded. “I need something to get everything off my mind.” “Okay, well, the grass needs to be trimmed, but I’ll have the boys do it when they get home,” she started. Christelle saw the notches in her brain twirl as she went down her mental To-Do List. “I can do that!” Christelle offered cheerfully as she sat up. “Are you sure it won’t be a bother? The boys are used to it…” “It won’t be a bother. I’m happy to do it!” Christelle exclaimed as she scrambled off the bed and headed for the yard before Mrs. Weasley could object. One lawn mowing job, one trip to the chicken pen, one gardening dawdling, a straightening of the rooms, and three restless nights later, Christelle woke up on the morning of Harry and Ginny’s wedding. It was an event to go down in history—The Chosen One’s wedding to one of the star players on the Holyhead Harpies’ team. Christelle grimaced as she looked at the dark purple circles under her eyes. She weaved her hair in her hands, getting it away from her face as she moved towards the closet to look at her bridesmaid gown. After showering, she slipped the dress on. The Chiffon knee length baby doll silhouette showed of her curvy waist and long, creamy legs. The apple slice draped empire bodice with a softened sweetheart neckline gave her a small boost as she slipped on her flats to match. Thankfully Ginny allowed her to wear flats instead of heels because of how much of a klutz she is. Christelle thought it was partially to apologize for the other day, but whatever the reason, she was happy for it. Hermione fluttered into the room in a similar dress, the only difference being the white sash she wore to show that she’s the Maid of Honor. “Christelle, you look gorgeous!” Hermione gushed as they viewed themselves in the body length mirror. “Thanks, you look amazing too. I’m glad the bruises disappeared in time,” she muttered. Hermione chuckled as Luna and Ginny joined them in the room. Luna was dressed and ready too, but Ginny was in a pair of shorts and a T-shirt. She was planning on changing when they arrived at the Burrow, seeing as they stayed at Harry and Ginny’s place that night. The boys had all stayed at the Burrow and set up decorations and the tent and what not. “Ready to go?” Christelle asked Ginny. Ginny turned to grin at her. “Absolutely!” she squealed. The other girls all laughed at her and Ginny just smiled wider. They all made their way to the driveway, where cars were waiting to drive them to the Burrow. “Christelle,” Charlie said shortly as they passed in the hallway. Christelle frowned momentarily as she kept going up the stairs. Harry was trapped in Ron’s bedroom until the girls all safely made it to Ginny’s old bedroom. “Have you talked to him since…?” Hermione asked quietly as she put a silencing charm on the door. “Nope,” Christelle said shortly. “Huh,” Ginny commented. “I’m not in the mood, Gin. And besides, this day is about you, not Charlie and me. So, let’s just drop it,” Christelle said firmly. Everyone averted their eyes away from her as she started twirling a strand of hair around her finger. Hermione and Luna went to unzip the wedding dress from the bridal bag for Ginny as she slipped into the shower. The other three girls heard a knock on the door and Hermione went to answer it. “I’ve been asked to come retrieve Christelle,” George said in an amused tone as he peered around the door. He arched his eyebrows at her and she sighed. She knew exactly who asked to come retrieve her. “Where?” she asked simply. George grinned at her. “His room,” he answered with a snicker. Christelle pushed past him and headed for the stairs. Once she made it to his door, she stood outside, trying to think about what she’d say. She thought about knocking but then decided against it. She quickly opened the door, slipped inside, closed it behind her, and stared at Charlie’s back. He was staring out of his window, ignoring the new presence in the room. She coughed quietly and he flinched slightly. “You look amazing,” he murmured a few minutes later, still looking out the window. “Thank you. You’re not so bad yourself,” she mumbled. He didn’t laugh like he used to, he just kept looking out the window. Christelle drifted forward, her arm outstretched to touch his shoulder, but she pulled it back quickly when it almost made contact. “I’m sorry,” she finally whispered. Charlie didn’t respond. He kept staring out of the window, ignoring her. “Please say something,” she said in exasperation as she threw her hands in the air and sat on the edge of his bed. He leaned his forehead against the glass of the window as Christelle stared at his back. “You do remember you’re the one who wanted to see me, right?” Christelle asked in irritation. If he wasn’t going to talk to her, then why did he want her to come up here? “What? No I didn’t!” he finally yelled, spinning on the spot to stare at her. “You wanted to talk to me!” “Nu uh! George came and got me and—” she faltered as she thought about it while Charlie gave a small smirk. “George,” they both said together. |
Love it Emily! ^_^ haha George is up to no good again. |
