Middle of the Street Halfway down Diagon Alley, the colourful shop fronts give way to the more business-like places in the area. In this area, you might find the occasional witch pushing a cart full of strange wares to be sold, but one is much more likely to come across a sea of reporters on their way to and from the Daily Prophet offices, or see numerous owls swooping in and out of the Owl Post Office. Nonetheless, the area is as bright and inviting as the rest of Diagon Alley, and just as busy. You could always go back to the North end of the street if you want to check out some of the shops there, or continue on to the South end. Or if you have business with them you might want to pop into the Daily Prophet offices or send some owl mail from the Owl Post Office. There's a nice little cafe not very far away if you feel the need to stop for refreshments and watch the passers by. |
For Izzeh Genny was out with Sam today considering hanging around her home where the prying eyes of her parents resided was too risky. Sometimes she did not have the patience to be around both of her parents, it was weird how that temperament was reflected at them recently. She did love hanging out with Giuseppe more the older she got, which just added to the weirdness of it all. The not weird news was that she was a week away from the U17 tryouts, her arms could bulge no more. Her bat poked out of her backpack on her way to buy a new cleaning set for her broom. With Sam, because who'll help her carry all the things? |

He did like quidditch, particularly seeker. But he wasn't nearly as obsessed as Genny. Actually, it seemed like at least half of their conversations recently were about quidditch and her try-outs and the U17s, yada yada yada. Did he talk about fencing and swimming that much? No. His hands were casually deposited in his pockets as they walked. Sam didn't even want to think about all the complaints and bad moods he'd have to endure if she didn't make this team. |
Anyone for this maniac? Guitar slung over his back, Corbin sauntered down the street, fiddling with the harmonica that It wasn't his fault Lucy preferred him, after all. Corbin just happened to be better looking, more talented, and greater at all round everything. In both of their opinions, clearly. He'd never admit that he'd asked Lucy just to spite his sister, for although that was how it had happened, he was enjoying being all 'exclusive' with her. Putting the instrument to his lips, he played a little tune. Hi, people of Diagon Alley, get your free show in now. This is talent. |

This did not count as a Quidditch talk. The way to the Quidditch store was sort of infested with young children jumping around excited for their wand measurements, most of which bumped their heads with her backpack. "Do you have brothers and sisters who are starting school soon?" How did Genny forget about Sam's siblings? |

He gave a low groan as throngs of little ones, noticeably smaller than them, bumped and bobbed their way around them. Sam didn't care for crowds. "Well, Liv will be a second year this year." But she was in Slytherin, so separate houses and all. "But Andrew's only nine, so not yet." Gosh, surely he was never so obnoxious at eleven years old. He was quite ready to have arrived at the quidditch shop and wasted no time opening the door. Throwing a sour look or two at the first-years, he waited for Genny to go in first. |
Bale glanced at the small pouch in his hand and back toward the direction of Gringotts. He knew that it was his decision whether to deposit into the bank or to spend it. Usually he would have followed the steps of his sister and just deposit it, but he kind of just wanted to treat himself. It was after all his first time in Diagon Alley without one of his parents at his side the whole time. Being on the cusp of going away to Hogwarts had apparently earned him and Zara a bit more freedom. Pocketing the small pouch, Bale made his decision. All his school supplies were already been purchase, so he didn't have to really spend his allowance on those kinds of things. Chocolate and sweets on the other hand, those were the kinds of things that were deemed important at the moment. Perhaps, even a visit to Quality Quidditch too. He owned someone a new broom cleaning kit after all. |
MJ/ Ansley! <3 "He's still going to hurt you. Give it time.'' The snide voice in his head was still very present though a lot less than before. Zach had learnt to ignore it and he did so right now. Brushing his longish, brown hair out of his eyes, Zach looked around. Ansley would know to meet him there and he couldn't wait to see the other man. |

Once he finished all his end of the year clerical duties at the university and cleaned out his office. He apparated to a spot in Diagon Alley he hoped would be less crowded. He didn't want to appear on top of someone already standing there! And luckily he hadn't, but now it was time to find Zach. He knew the general location of where they were meant to meet and he started that way. It wasn't long before he spotted him in the crowd, and Ansley waved as he headed over. "Hey!" he grinned. "So what are we doing today?" |
Kane needed another break from shopping. This was like...the tenth one, but he didn't care. He hated shopping and was getting it all done TODAY. He was very disappointed, however, to find that Diagon Alley did not sell ANYTHING that offered any ounce of protection against portals or monsters. Granted, the whole thing SHOULD be solved right now, since Miffy and Storm went in the portal (Good riddance, really) but still. He would rather be safe than sorry. No getting sucked in to portals for this one! He paused and sat down on a nearby bench, taking out the latest issue of Marvin the Mad Muggle that he'd purchased along with his books. Magical comics were AWESOME - they moved, which made them a million times better. |

So she used some of her coins to go get an ice cream cone instead of finding more school supplies. Her twin brother was around somewhere too, but Natalie was wandering off. She was wearing a nice floral dress and sandals and her long brown hair was down on her shoulders. Licking her strawberry ice cream, she wandered slowly down the alley, only glancing up from her cone every once in a while to make sure she wasn't going to run into anyone. It was one of those times she looked up that she saw a bench a couple feet away that she was about to run into. Luckily, she stopped just before it... and saw the person that was sitting there... Holy blonde. He was..... beautiful. Momentarily in a daze, Natalie held her ice cream cone in front of her, her blue eyes locked onto the blonde boy on the bench. Her tiny twelve year old heart stirred for the first time ever. But it was strange, because boys were gross, weren't they? But this one couldn't be THAT bad, surely... |

Lost in thought, he almost missed the girl who was standing nearby - staring at him. He blinked, not used to people LOOKING at him so intently. Was this girl in his year? She looked to be about his age, perhaps a bit younger. He was an awful judge of ages. Regardless, she looked to be about Hogwarts age... Wait, had she heard the rumor that his hair color wasn't real?! He'd been getting asked about that a LOT lately. Like, a LOT a lot. Which was stupid because there were SO MANY other things people should be focused on! Like the portal. And MONSTERS. And instead people just kept asking about his hair. Frowning, he rolled his eyes and sighed heavily. "Yes, ok, it's HIGHLIGHTED. Not naturally this BLONDE but still BLONDE. Happy now?" he asked her, raising eyebrow. |
Quote:
Still in a daze, Natalie missed most of what the boy was saying about his hair. Blonde... something about a highlighter. Happy now? Well, she wasn't unhappy before... "I... What?" |
SPOILER!!: Ansley! <3 While he waited for Ansley, Zach couldn't help but feel caught up in the rush of students and parents as they rushed around getting things done for the upcoming school year. It also made him feel happy; that his life was finally together again. It was a great feeling! He brushed strands of his hair out of his eyes. It was kind of windy but he could deal with it. There Ansley was! Zach's face lit up. "Hi. Actually, I figured that we could decide that together. Is that okay?'' He smiled somewhat shyly, hoping a planned day hadn't been expected. Yes, sure he and gotten accustomed to Ansley but his shyness still surfaced at times. "Busy day so far?'' he asked curiously and genuinely interest in knowing. |
Quote:
"Sorry, I didn't mean to snap like that. I just...well, ok, some people have been saying my hair isn't real, and I bleach my hair. Which is not TOTALLY true, I do HIGHLIGHT it, but I AM a natural blonde, I just...make it brighter," he explained. This poor girl, he was very aware that he was rambling and she probably thought he was crazy. He had to justify his outburst, though! "Sorry, it's stupid," he said with a shrug as his face continued to turn beet red. |
Come one! Come all! Open to anyone and everyone Twenty-five year old Awarlesta Lawrence set up a small booth in the middle of Diagon Alley. Her two year-old daughter, Nyx, was sat on a chair next to her, watching her mother using magic to bring everything together. A banner read above the booth as: "YUMS FOR TUMS!" and pinned in front of the table read another sign: Quote:
The former Puff stepped back to look at the final product, asking Nyx for approval. "Wha'dya think, Nyxie?" The toddler babbled. "You're right, it is missing something." With a final flick of her wand, an additional sign appeared bearing the word, "FREE!", in large bedazzled letters. Awar let out a squeal of excitement. She couldn't wait for people to try her new inventions and some of them even came with surprises! She won't say which. Only if they try them, can they find out. |

"Are you obsessed with your hair?" she asked, her head tilting to the side just a little. She was thinking that he was, since he automatically assumed that's why she was staring at him, when in fact it was only because she thought he was pretty. And because he highlighted it, apparently, as if it weren't blonde enough before. Natalie didn't have any blonde in her hair. Should she highlight hers? Hmm. |
Quote:
"I'm Kane, by the way," he added, smiling at her in a friendly manner. Now that he'd probably scared the daylights out of her with all his hair talk... |

Oh, right. She should introduce herself. "Oh, I'm Natalie," she said, a little pink tinting her porcelain cheeks. She smiled politely at him. Kane. That was an interesting name. She liked it. "Do you go to Hogwarts?" She was hoping he did. |
SPOILER!!: Zach and Awar "Alright, so.. where do you want to begin...?" he started, but then noticed a woman and young child setting up shop not far from them. That was curious. "Ah, baked goods... Shall we take a look?" They didn't really have a set plan, so he figured that could be a part of their impromptu plan and he started that way. Ansley stopped in front of the stand and peered up at the sign to see what the selections were, his eyes soon landing on the "Free" part. Free? That was.. suspicious. People didn't normally give things away for free without a reason. "So, what's good here? And... everything's free?" He was more curious than anything, though he did like handcrafted gourmet food as well, considering himself something of a foodie. But that still remained to be seen. |

With a wave of her wand, one of the New York Niffler Cheesecake flavored cupcakes danced in the air. "A New York Cheesecake is a very popular dessert on its own, but in this case I've made a swirl of chocolate and NY cheesecake batter into this cupcake." The cupcake settled in front of the boy. "The coins decorating the top are made of lemon flavored fondant and the Niffler..." She smiled sweetly. "That's a surprise." Quote:

Sorry it's short - phone post LOL Quote:
"Well nice to meet you," Kane said with a smile. He was trying his best to stop himself from blushing from that embarrassing first encounter. "And yeah, I do! I'm a Hufflepuff. How about you?" He asked. This was more interesting than comics - Kane loved to talk. His mom often said he just liked the sound of his own voice... |
Ansley & Awar! Okay, so Ansley didn't seem to mind that there was no plans. This was a good thing. "I chose Diagon Alley because the bustle brings back good memories of getting my own supplies for my school year.'' His years at Ilvermorny had been the best so he was wrapped up in nostalgia somewhat right now. "Next time you get to choose. Deal?" Cue a grin. Baked good? Where? Zach liked baked good, mhmm! They were probably his favourite thing to eat after macaroni and cheese. He followed the boyfriend, eyeing the goodies with interest. Wait... these were for free? Cue that little voice in his head being suspicious already. But his eyes were on the Niffler cheesecake. "Made these with your own recipes or are they family recipes?'' Maybe the woman was now getting into the pastry business and wanted to attract customers, hence the free goodies. |
Quote:
Anyway. She smiled and bounced on her toes a little. "It's nice to meet you too." Very nice, yes. Oh, good, he DID go to Hogwarts. "I'm a Slytherin!" she said with more excitement than most other snakes. She was still wondering why she was placed in that house, but she was just glad she was with her twin brother. |
