| | |  Balmoral Hotel room re-named the J.K. Rowling Suite
The Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh, Scotland, have decided to re-name the room in which Jo Rowling completed her writing of Deathly Hallows, due to the fact that wealthy fans have specifically requested it when visiting the establishment.
Costing £1,000 a night the room contains a marble bust which Jo signed upon competing the final book. Jo spent the night in room 552 in January of last year. She has now given the owners permission to re-name it the J.K. Rowling Suite. Quote:
An unnamed worker at the hotel said: "As JK Rowling finished her book in this suite, we thought it would be a nice way to honour this. The room is exactly the same as when Miss Rowling finished her book there."
Since her using it, a commemorative brass plaque has been added to the door along with a brass owl door knocker. | |
