Dearly beloved members of SnitchSeeker, we are gathered here today in celebration of the Quibbler’s Member of the Month for May, Anna Banana! Let’s get right into it, shall we? Could you introduce yourself to the crowd and tell us a little bit about yourself?
*rushes out without a shy bone in her body* Hey, heyyyy, everyone! I'm so excited to be BACK! I was Member of the Month waaaaaaay back in the day, so I never thought I would get this honor again! I'm so excited!

So my name is Jennifer, but ever since I joined SS years and years ago, everyone has always called me Anna! That was the name of my very first SS charrie. I was a newbie on SS, and I wasn't sure who all these people were, so once they started calling me by my charrie's name, it just stuck!

That’s right, all the way back in 2008! I think I can speak on behalf of all of us when I say we are so excited that you're back to wear the crown! But this is quite the origin story, Anna Ba— I mean, Jennifer Banana. Ms. Banana, how has it been experiencing the SnitchSeeker world as an Anna?
When I was first MoTM, we didn't have that crown tag, so that will be a first for me! Anyway, it was honestly second nature to me! When I was at university, I spent waaay too much free time on SS, so all I heard was Anna, Anna, Anna. Once, I was out in public, and someone called out to another Anna, and I actually turned and looked. Haha!

Also, I've met several SSers in person, and they all referred to me as Anna, so it didn't really phase me! I also get mail from SSers who will address it to Anna!

Oh my goodness, you're out here living a double life! I can’t believe we have our very own Hannah Montana on site. Okay, but, now I’m curious — you mentioned we didn’t have crowns back in 2008, but I’m sure a lot has changed in your personal life since then too. Looking back from 2008 all the way to now, are there any hobbies you’ve picked up outside of SnitchSeeker or any new interests you’ve had the chance to delve into? The people want to know!
TONS HAVE CHANGED! Okay, so first of all, I was a lot younger, and like I said, I was a university student. I'm now married, a teacher, and I have three kids! So I don't get a whole lot of free time, but when I do, I like to nap, watch Netflix, travel, and read!

Those are huuuuuuge changes! Oh how time fliiiies when you're on a Harry Potter fansite!! For my next trick, I have two (2) spin off questions that I will now skillfully bundle into one (1). *aHEM* Where is your favorite travel destination and what are you reading while you’re there?
My favorite vacation site is O'ahu! I stayed on the island for ten days once, and it was amazing! My family and I are huge Disney World fans! My youngest two are six-years-old, and they've already been to Disney World three or four times! We like to go camping, too, and this summer, we are going on a mountain vacation. As far as reading, I just finished Where the Crawdads Sing! I loved it!

Okay, remind me to hit you up for vacation recommendations .... and, perhaps, book recommendations too! I've heard great things about that one! It is at this point in the program where I will ask you to brace yourself for a horrible segue. *clears throat* Speaking of hobbies, I know SnitchSeeker happens to be one we have in common! Is there a particular part of our website that you find yourself gravitating towards the most? What about SS has kept you around for the long haul?
The Hogwarts RPG is (and always has been) the main reason I love the site so much. Well, that and the amazing people! I used to be ALL over the site, but these days, I really only make time for the school RPs. I poke around in the books, movies, and TV threads some, too, though! As far as book recommendations, I'm reading the Bridgerton series now!

*notes down this title as well* But, ooooh, yes the RP! You've been a staple of the Hogwarts RPG for as long as I can remember. Where do you get inspiration for the characters you write? We like to get to the bottom of the mystery here at the Quibbler.
I was SUCH a newbie at first! I tried to play a version of Hermione, but I grew out of that stage, thankfully! Since then, I've had a lot of luck choosing a FACE first, and then imagining what kind of person they would be. That just gives me the basics, though. I've actually finally learned to let my charries lead the way! I once played a charrie named Sierra Greingoth, and she turned out to be the exact opposite of what I first imagined her to be! They just have their own way of doing things sometimes!

Sierra Greingoth is one of my all time FAVORITE SnitchSeeker characters. I’m not gonna lie to you, I literally think about her on the reg. Do you have a favorite out of all the characters you’ve ever played? And, while I’m at it, do you have any all time favorite SnitchSeeker characters that were played by others?
I miss her so much! I wish it was possible to play one charrie forever, because I think I might have! Okay, so my favorite all-time character played by someone else is Hecate Lafay. She was played by the awesome and lovely Droo. I admired how true to character Hecate was. She was also SUPER entertaining. Never a dull moment! Hecate is Sierra's mother, so I'm also really invested in her history and storylines!

And those two together? *chefs kiss* A power duo if I've ever seen one! Shifting gears a little bit, do you have an all-time favorite SnitchSeeker memory? Within the RPG or on SnitchSeeker at large?
TONS! Some that stand out are the term when we had two separate schools, one for boys and one for girls. I just loved the RPs that came from that! Then there's the old Quidditch days when we would all get on Skype and just get all hyped up about the game! I made a lot of friends in Quidditch! As far as site-wide, I just love Days of Potter! Christmas is my favorite time of the year, and I love getting involved in the DoP activities! Fun/sad fact - I have a GOAL to one day win a Days of Potter raffle! I've been on the site since 2007, entered every year, and never won! 2022 MUST BE THE YEAR!

This year IS your year for the Days of Potter raffle, let's manifest it right here, right now! Annnnnd while we do that, I'd love to ask you some Potter related questions seeing as that's what brought us all to SnitchSeeker in the first place. How did you first get into the series? What's your Potter origin story?
One day I was walking through an airport, and I was bored and went into a store. Back then, I really had no clue who or what Harry Potter was, but since I knew it was popular, I bought the book! It was book FOUR, though, and I just dove in and started reading it! So I kind of read the books in THIS order: 4, 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 3. I know, I know! WEIRD.

That IS wild! Were you able to understand the plot? Have you ever gone back to read them in order?
The plot was all weird for me at first, because movies were coming out, and I was watching those, too! I eventually got it all settled and done in the right order! Being on SS helped, because for a few years there, I think I lived and breathed SS lol.

My brain would literally be scrambled eggs at that point, so color me incredibly impressed. How would you order the books and movies in terms of your personal favorites?
Two and three would definitely be last. I never really caught on to the plot of three. I mean, I loved it, because it was Harry Potter, but it's definitely my least favorite. So let's see, it would be 7, 1, 6, 5, 4, 2, 3. I like 7, because everything I had invested in for all those years was finally going to be resolved/answered. It was amazing seeing how it all ended! Book one is super special, because that is when we, as fans, were introduced to this whole new world! I enjoyed five and six due to plot reasons! As for book four, I loved the whole Yule Ball and seeing the characters start to age!

I definitely feel like Prisoner of Azkaban is the outlier in the series. It totally veers away from the, otherwise, Voldemort-centric plot, but it does have a special place in my heart because it introduces some of my favorite characters. Who's your favorite character from the series? And do you think you'd be friends with them in real life?
It's Severus Snape! I just feel like everything went full-circle with him. His storyline definitely surprised me, and I didn't see it coming at all. Alan Rickman was the PERFECT Snape in my opinion! I'm not sure if we'd be friends in real life. I mean, Snape is awesome and all, but he doesn't seem like the type to want to make friends. Snape is actually how I found SS! I was googling Snape fanfiction!

Wow, what a way to find SnitchSeeker, omg! *starts the laugh track* But to your point, he really doesn't seem like the type to make friends So maybe not Snape, but is there anyone from the HP series that you DO think you'd be friends with in real life?
Ron, Hermione, Neville, and Luna! I'm not quite as into school as Hermione is, but I can imagine us having the same personality as far as being strong-willed and independent. I think Ron would be hilarious to hang out with, and I've always loved how unique Neville and Luna are! I think JK missed the boat when those two didn't end up together!

This would be SUCH a solid friend group. I am so completely infatuated with the idea of all of y'all hanging out. Ugh. Love. Love. LOVE. Outside of the world of Potter, are there any characters from another book, movie, or TV show you'd want to hang out with in real life?
Have you ever heard of the show Sweet Magnolias? There's this group of friends on there who have been friends since they were kids. They're older with kids of their own now, but they're still BFFs. Every time I see them together, I wish I had a group of friends like that. I do have close friends, but these ladies just go above and beyond! It's awesome! I'd want to be friends with any of the characters from my favorite series - Bridgerton, Virgin River, Sweet Magnolias, Fate: The Winx Saga. GOSH, the list goes on and on!

I have not heard of it, but now I have something to add to my list for the future! I'm always looking for media that centers strong friendships, it's my faaaaave! And now that we've covered TV shows and books, I'm super curious to hear about your music taste! What kind of music do you listen to the most?
I used to have Sirius XM, and I'd listen to KIIS FM out of California. It's focused on pop music. There was another station I listened to called something like Top 20 on 20. It was whatever the top 20 songs at the moment were! I'm not into country music too much, though I might like a song or two that's popular, but that's it.

Oh, and I love show tunes from Broadway musicals! That's another favorite! I used to dream of being on Broadway when I was a kid!

Oooooh! Tell me more, tell me more! [/Grease] Did you see what I did there? What's your favorite Broadway musical and why? Or your top 3, if that's easier!
*sings and dances along to the amazing and timeless GREASE* Annie (because that was my dream show as a kid), Cats (because I love the dancing), and Phantom of the Opera (because I love the plot). I could sit here and list them all day, though!

*joins in with some classic Grease liiiightning* Did you do musical theater growing up? Or were you just an avid musical watcher?
No, I'm from a small town, and there's not a lot of musical theater opportunities here, sadly. I took dance lessons, was a cheerleader, and played lots of sports, though! I did take formal singing lessons for a while, but it was really more for fun than me trying to do something else with it, ya know? When I was younger, I wanted to grow up and move off to California or NYC. Now that I'm older, I love my small town life!

Life always has alternative plans for us, eh? It's actually quite funny that this is the subject we ended up on because, Ms. Banana, my next question comes to you straiiiiight from our last Member of the Month, love-for-HP, who wants to know: If you could have any career in your Real Life, what would it be and why?
Either a broadcast journalist or a scientist! Those were the two I considered outside of teaching, but in the end, it was just easier to get and keep a job as a teacher, so I went with that. Some days I wish I had a job where I worked by myself and had peace and quiet - an office cubicle or anything where I did work without the stress of loads of other people. I love teaching, though, and I think I'd be lost without it! Also, you can't beat the weekends, holidays, and summers off!

Ooft, the things I would do for built in breaks like that! Annnnnd now, before we officially break, it’s your turn to be the interviewer! What would you like to ask our next Member of the Month?
Think of all the Sci-Fi/Fantasy books you've read or movies you've seen. If you could take one made-up element from those books and movies and allow it to be real, what would it be and why?

That is SUCH a good question. Now you've got my brain buuuuuuuuuzzing! But, unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. Which means that our time together is just about up.
