1. Wow, that's hard! I have more than one favorite. Hmm... I'm going to go with Halloween because it's the one day of the year I get to dress up in costume and nobody thinks I'm weird for it. I go all out for Halloween! My decorations and the treats I hand out always match the theme of my costume.

2. I'd love to be Belle in Beauty and the Beast. It would be so much fun to explore the beast's castle (and library)and make friends with the enchanted objects.

3. Definitely coffee, especially frappuccinos and all other forms of iced coffee!

Hi! I don't think I've had the chance to welcome you to SS yet, so welcome! And thank you! It means a lot to me to know people like my charrie.

Aside from HP, I mostly stick to the classics from the 19th and early 20th centuries. I particularly enjoy classic French literature; my favorite French authors are Honore de Balzac, Victor Hugo, and especially Alexandre Dumas. I have almost a whole shelf full of his works.

1. I've had her for nearly four years, which is the longest I've had any of my guinea pigs. I have two favorite activities with her. I like hiding treats for her to find somwehere where she'll have to work to get them (like under things or on top of something to climb. It gives her something to do and a nice little reward.

I also like to make her talk to the porg. I have one of those porg plushes from Star Wars that makes noise when you squeeze it, and it gets the guinea pig talking. She thinks it's another guinea pig because it sounds like her!

2. Oh, wow! I've been cosplaying for about 15 years, so that's going to be quite a long list. Unfortunately, I haven't done any anime characters yet. Let's see... I've done Snape, Lucius, Narcissa, and 2 different versions of Draco (Harry Potter); Credence (Fantastic Beasts); Legolas and Aragorn (Lord of the Rings); Hook, Alice, Dark Swan, and Emma (Once Upon a Time); Anna, Elsa, Hans, and the King of Arendelle (Frozen); Javert, Enjolras, and Eponine (Les Miserables); the Phantom of the Opera; Glinda (Wicked); Kylo Ren (Star Wars); Two-Face (The Dark Knight)... I think that's all of them, at least the ones I can recall off the top of my head.

3. Such a hard question! How am I going to pick just one? I think I'm going to go with The Hunchback of Notre Dame. The animation, the voice acting, the songs... everything was spot on! I love how it didn't shy away from darker themes and how it presents a strong moral of acceptance without coming across as condescending to children.

Hi, Pixie! Ooh, I didn't know you were a cosplayer too!

1. Definitely OUAT Alice because it's the most elaborate cosplay I've done so far! I worked so hard on it and had to learn a lot of techniques i'd never used before. Also, I have very fond memories of that cosplay. It was one of three that i wore to OUAT Con last summer. I entered it into the costume contest; I didn't win, but everybody who entered got a con-exclusive mug, which I like better than what the grand prize was. And I was wearing it when I met Colin O'Donoghue!

2. My favorites to read are fantasy, horror, and historical fiction. As far as writing goes, my favorite is YA fantasy. Almost all the fiction I write falls into that category.

3. Ooh, good question! I think it was I See the Light from Tangled, but I don't even remember.

My top travel place is definitely the UK; it's been my dream to go there since I was eight years old! I couldn't pick a specific place in the UK that I'd want to go. I want to see everything!

Ooh, that's hard! I liked so many cartoons (and still do! ) It was probably Rugrats, but I also really liked Dexter's Laboratory, The Powerpuff Girls, and the old ABC saturday morning cartoons like Recess and Pepper Ann.

1. It's...weird. There's no other word I can think of to describe it. Sure, I can still watch it on Netflix or dvds. The hard part is that when a show gets cancelled like that, the online communities go inactive, and that does away with a major source of social interaction for me. Being a fan without a fandom is no fun.

2. No, not for a few years anyway. I think 2 kitties is a good number. Any more than that and it would get hard to give them all equal amounts of attention and I can't have my kitties feeling left out and jealous of each other!

3. Oh, goodness! I love almost everything about him, so how do I choose? I'm sure this will seem like a very strange answer to most people, but I'm going to say my favorite thing about him is his bravery. Not so much the loud, confrontational kind of bravery that generally comes to mind when we think of the word, but the more understated kind of quiet inner strength that shows when you least expect it. From the outside looking in, I guess it's easy to write him off, but it takes courage to express one's emotions as openly as he does, rather than put on an act to appear "strong", and it takes courage to keep trying to be kind to others, even when the world hasn't been kind to you.

Hmm... I already gave my favorite animated Disney movie, so to avoid being repetitive, I'm going to say my favorite is Saving Mr. Banks (my favorite live-action Disney movie). It was so beautifully acted, especially Colin Farrell's performance as Travers Goff! I also liked the dynamic between Walt Disney and P.L. Travers onscreen, and it was interesting to learn some of what went into making Mary Poppins.

To be honest, yes, very much so. It can be a little daunting when you come onto SS for the first time, and you see people with post counts in the thousands and people who've been members for a decade or longer. At least it was for me. I was worried I wouldn't fit in with the older members, but they accepted me. I'm sure they'll do the same for you. SS is a very welcoming place!

I'm kinda of afraid of guinea pigs so I give you points for bravery!

I also didn't think I'd like Harry Potter. But after opening one of the books I was HOOKED! I used to read on lunch break and ever other spare second I got. They are super addictive and I loved going into the world that JK created.

I do have a question. I'm new here. How would you describe the typical person that comes to the site?

Did you get to meet any of the OUAT cast?
Have you ever been to a Disney theme park?
What are your pets called?

2. Oh, wow... that's hard. I've always been fascinated by DADA, but I'm going to go with Charms. Maybe it's because I've played the charms professor in the school for so long, but the subject's grown on me. There's so many practical everyday uses for charms,, and I love the versatility!

3. This question makes me giggle! My dad asked me this question years ago, and my answer is the same as it was then. I'd pick the Roaring 20's (and I swear I'm not just saying that because Fantastic Beasts is in vogue! ) for so many reasons. It was a changing climate as far as womens' rights, and there wasn't anything too crazy happening politically or economically for most of the decade, or at least not in my country. I love the art and fashion of the era, and it would be so interesting to witness the start of the Golden Age of Hollywood firsthand!

4. rotfl Now Gaston is going on and on about how much he loves her, and it's too cute for words! He says his favorite thing about her kindness. It's what made him fall in love with her, and it encompasses so many of the other things he loves about her (e.g. her ability to see good in others, her patience with his emotions).

You're not alone; I've known quite a few people who are sort of afraid of guinea pigs. They're really very sweet pets, though. They just look a little weird.

That sounds just like me when I was in school! I always had at least one Harry Potter book in my backpack to read whenever I got the chance.

As for your question, there are people from all walks of life on SS, so it's hard to define a typical SSer. I guess the common thread we have is that we're all huge Harry Potter fans that want to sahre our love of the series with like-minded people.

1. Yes! I got to meet 12 OUAT cast members at the con: Colin O'Donoghue, Lana Parilla, Jared Gilmore, Rebecca Mader, Emilie De Ravin, Andrew J. West, Rose Reynolds, Chris Gauthier, Lee Arenberg, Karen David, Beverley Elliot, and Raphael Sbarge. All of them were so nice!

2. I've been to Disney World once, but I didn't get the full experience from it. I didn't go on any rides because I was there mainly to attend a performance and didn't want to get my hair/dress/make-up messed up. But I'd love to go back one day and experience it the right way!

3. The guinea pig is Anna (named after the princess in Frozen because she has reddish hair and a feisty personality, and the first thing she did when I brought her home was snuggle up to one of my Frozen dolls ).

The rabbit is Marshmallow. He looks a bit like a marshmallow, and the name is sort of an in-joke for Disney fans. It's a reference to A Frozen Heart, a book retelling the events of Frozen from Prince Hans's POV; one chapter described Marshmallow the snow monster as being "like a cuddly bunny" compared to Hans's father, so since I had a cuddly bunny who happened to look like a marshmallow, I thought the name fit perfectly!

The cats are Cissy (short for Narcissa Meowfoy - so named because she's white with dark streaks, like Narcissa's hair in the movies, and she's a bit of a snob) and Killian (I was told she was a boy when I adopted her, so I named her after my favorite OUAT character because she has blue eyes and markings that look like eyeliner).
