Vianna couldn't help but grow even more amused as Ferris accusingly asked what she was laughing about, before then pointing out that she was the one who had to kiss him after he'd just had that drink. At this, Vianna's jaw dropped for a second and she gasped with mock surprise before shaking her head. "No way! When did I agree to that?" she said, raising her eyebrows slightly at the boy with amusement still sparkling in her blue eyes. "I think the kisses are gonna have to wait 'til after you've brushed your teeth," she added teasingly.

emmafan123 04-18-2010 09:52 PM

Ferris's jaw dropped as Vianna informed him that any kisses would have to wait until he'd brushed his teeth, "You would deny the birthday boy a kiss, just because he has firewhiskey breath?" he joked with a warm smile, letting out a soft chuckle. "Besides, I didn't mean right now, I just meant all day," he added playfully, flashing her a grin before sliding out of the booth. "I am going to go conjure up a toothbrush in the bathroom," he told her with an amused smile, brown eyes sparkling before he headed off to the mens' restroom. Not only did he want to get that taste out of his mouth and a kiss from his girlfriend, but he didn't want to meet up with her parents with firewhiskey breath.

Gryffindoll 04-18-2010 09:59 PM

Vianna giggled with amusement as Ferris asked if she'd honestly deny the birthday boy a kiss just because of his breath, and she nodded her head in response though she was obviously just joking with the boy. As he then slid out of the booth to go conjure up a toothbrush, Vianna chuckled softly and nodded her head. "Alright. Don't take too long," she added, her forehead creasing a bit, as if this was something that was going to take the boy hours and he was leaving her all by herself somewhere horrible rather than the familiar and friendly little pub that was The Three Broomsticks. She watched the boy go for a moment before then returning her attention to her food and finishing off what was left on her plate absentmindedly.

emmafan123 04-18-2010 10:06 PM

Ferris returned to his girlfriend a couple minutes later, breath fresh and free of any firewhiskey scent or taste. He grinned at the sight of Vianna still sitting in their booth and gently slipped into the seat at her side, but not stopping when he should've and toppling both of them over into a laying position in the large corner booth. He let out a sof chuckle, brown eyes sparkling at the sight of her, "Hello," he said with a grin.

Gryffindoll 04-18-2010 10:11 PM

Vianna gave a startled "hey!" as she was toppled over on the seat, only to find the culprit chuckling and greeting her very casually with a 'hello'. Vianna chuckled softly with amusement at this and gently pecked his lips. "Hi, birthday boy," she replied, crystal blue eyes roaming over his features admiringly with the brightest of smiles lighting up her face. "So how does it feel to be eighteen?" she asked.

emmafan123 04-18-2010 10:14 PM

Ferris returned the soft peck Vianna placed on his lips, brown eyes sparkling as she called him 'birthday boy' and asked how it felt to be eighteen. "At the moment?" he said with a warm smile. "Pretty good," he admitted, flashing her one of those boyish grins only Ferris could acquire before leaning forward to peck her lips once more. "So are you going to take you to my birthday doom or what?" he joked, gaze filled with admiration as he scannd her features.

Gryffindoll 04-18-2010 10:19 PM

Vianna grinned as Ferris shared with her that being eighteen felt pretty good before then placing a quick kiss on the girl's lips she was quick to return, and she listened as he then asked if she was going to take him to his birthday of doom. At this, the young girl laughed lightly and nodded her head in response before sitting up on the seat once again. "This is where you get to open your fake present," she said, taking the box she'd pulled out earlier and placing it in the middle of the table, between her and Ferris.

emmafan123 04-18-2010 10:24 PM

Ferris's eyebrows rose as Vianna sat up and informed him that this was the time he got to open his fake present, sliding it over to him on the tabletop. "Oh really?" he responded with an amused smile, sitting up in his seat and examining the gift with curious brown eyes. "You really didn't have to do this, Vi..." he murmured with a weak chuckle, hesitance in his gaze as he gently began to unwrap the nice green wrapping paper, removing the bow.

Gryffindoll 04-18-2010 10:31 PM

Vianna chuckled softly as Ferris told her she didn't have to do this. "It's a fake present, Professor, you don't have to feel bad," she said, rather amused by how appreciative the boy seemed to be over a fake birthday present. As he unwrapped it, an old raggedy boot came to sight, and Vianna couldn't help but chuckle once more with amusement; it was rather funny to see something like this coming out of a neatly wrapped birthday box. "It's a portkey," Vianna explained. "We'll take it on the count of three. Ready?" she asked, smiling with excitement as her blue eyes returned to the boot that would lead them home.

emmafan123 04-18-2010 10:35 PM

Ferris let out a soft chuckle as Vianna explained that it was a fake present and that meant that he didn't need to feel bad. "I know...but, still..." he murmured with a weak, sheepish smile, knowing that he probably appeared to be rather silly. But as an old leather boot fell out of the present and onto the table, his eyebrows rose, completely confused until Vianna admitted that it was a portkey. "Oh..." he said with a soft chuckle, the confusion washing from his features as she suggested they take it on the count of three. "Alright," he agreed with a warm smile, small excitement beginning to grow in the pit of his stomach. "One...Two...Three," he said, counting slowly until the last moment in which he placed his finger on the old raggedy boot.

Gryffindoll 04-18-2010 10:50 PM

And only seconds later, Ferris and Vianna found themselves in a new setting, something completely different from the rather dark little pub they had been in only a short moment ago. They were out in the open air now, and they were surrounded by endless miles of grass on one side, and the picturesque blue ocean on the other. And before them stood a very large but very old and well-kept house that was very familiar to the young girl gazing up at it. "C'mon," she said, taking Ferris's hand and quickly leading him through the pathway outlined by well-kept green shrubs and flowers that led up to the large doors of heavily-carved wood. "You ready?"

emmafan123 04-18-2010 10:53 PM

Ferris's brown eyes opened to find himself in front of the Vincenzi mansion, his dark eyebrows raising at the sight of it. It felt like forever since he'd last been there. He gave a weak smile at the sight of it, following Vianna up the pathway towards the large front doors of rich dark wood, listening as the girl at his side asked if he was ready. He looked at her with almost hesitant brown eyes and gave a nervous smile, "Uh...Yeah, I guess," he said, nerves starting to fall into his stomach. Why was he so nervous? It wasn't like he was doing anything all that difficult, just walking into a party...solely for him. Gulp.

Gryffindoll 04-18-2010 11:03 PM

Vianna gave the boy at her side a sympathetic smile as he rather hesitantly let her know he was ready, before then knocking on the doors. As was usual, Costa the little house-elf opened the door, and on top of her head sat a pointed, colorful hat reading 'Felice compleanno!' The little house-elf barely had a chance to open the doors wide enough for the pair, when a large crowd from inside the house was already stampeding in their direction, startling Vianna who feared for a second there that she might actually get crushed and run over. But not a single one of them attacked the girl; oh no, instead, they attacked Ferris, nearly tackling the boy down as loud 'Happy birthday!'s and 'Felice compleanno!'s began to echo in the air, and in a matter of seconds, the boy was being dragged into the house like some type of rag doll, and straight into the dining room where the large birthday cake with its eighteen candles and a small mountain of neatly-wrapped presents awaited, along with other food Costa had made for all of the house's guests. Vianna had stayed behind at the foyer, helping the poor little house-elf up to her feet as the poor thing had been accidentally run over during all that chaos.

emmafan123 04-18-2010 11:12 PM

Ferris watched as the large dark doors opened, revealing little Costa, who he gave a politely warm smile to. But he'd hardly had time to take in the sight of her before the noise of stampeding people filled his ears, forcing him to look up, past Costa. His brown eyes widened as far as they could possibly widen as the doors were opened further and a large crowd of familiar faces all ran towards him, yelling out 'Happy Birthday' phrases, nearly knocking him to the floor. Heart beating rapidly, the poor boy couldn't even hit the ground, caught by another few people as the whole crowd managed to drag him into the building. He managed to plaster a soft smile onto his expression, but his brown eyes were still extraordinarily wide as they led him to the dining room, caught in a sea of people. He let out a small laugh, though it was nervous and a little uneasy, not having expected this! What were all of these people doing here, for his birthday?! It was then that he caught sight of the largest cake he'd ever seen, decked out in eighteen candles and accompanied by a mountain of presents. His jaw fell, completely overwhelmed with the amount of preparations the Vincenzi family must've done for him. And they got him presents!? Oh no...They'd gotten him presents...He didn't need any presents, they didn't need to do that...But all of these thoughts could only cross his mind for a half second at a time as he was still being surprised in every direction by voices and laughter, people all around him. It was then that he registered that Vianna was no where in sight and his eyes widened for the upteenth time, gazing around rather frantically for the one completely familiar thing to him. He caught sight of her near the doorway and he gave a small sigh of relief, "Vi..." he called, brown eyes a little panicked but flattered as he craned his head around all the people to find his girlfriend.

Gryffindoll 04-18-2010 11:22 PM

"Sorry, I'm coming!" said Vianna, giving a brief apologetic smile before getting up to her feet once she was sure Costa wasn't dead or anything.

"Quit playing around with the house-elf, Vi, I want cake!" whined Vince from somewhere inside the dining room.

"I wasn't 'playing around'!" said Vianna, brows furrowed disapprovingly as her gaze fell upon her older brother. Very typical of Vince and Vianna to waste no time in getting into the silliest of arguments.

"Oh, don't you two start now!" came Mrs. Vincenzi's voice, throwing a warning look at her younger son and daughter. "Today is Ferris's birthday and the least you two could do is show a little respect and get along," she added before returning her attention to the boy who all of this had been set up for in the first place. "Are you alright, dear? I hope we didn't startle you," she said, obviously not aware that Vianna had forewarned Ferris about this 'surprise' party before getting here. "Come, come closer so you can blow the candles while we sing you happy birthday! Vittorio, have you got the camera?"

Vince snickered. "Oh Mum, that's so embarrassing... he's not turning five, c'mon," he said, though he was obviously quite enjoying all this attention the group was giving Ferris, as he knew attention wasn't something Ferris was too crazy about. Vianna merely gave Ferris a small apologetic smile, well-aware that all of this was something the boy clearly didn't want in the first place, but... Mr. and Mrs. Vincenzi were a little difficult to argue with once they'd made-up their minds.

emmafan123 04-18-2010 11:28 PM

OOC: "once she was sure Costa wasn't dead or anything." :xd:

Ferris seemed a little relieved as Vianna joined his side, immediately taking her hand and intwining their fingers, quickly finding his hand rather snug, almost ridiculously tight around her smaller one. The boy was obviously a little stressed by this whole situation, but was very appreciative of it, so he tried his best not to show this to any of the people in the room, a polite smile plastered on his face. "I-I'm fine," he said with a weak chuckle as Mrs. Vincenzi asked, suggesting that he come closer to the candles so they could sing him happy birthday, asking her husband to get the camera. His eyebrows rose and his jaw fell just barely so his mouth opened, honestly not having expected this. "I-It's really, not...not ne-necessary," he quickly said with a shake of his head, glad that Vince seemed to pipe in that it was embarrassing, that he wasn't turning five. But the boy wasn't necessarily embarrassed so much as he was overwhelmed. It was then that he caught sight of his mother's red head, right across from him in the circle of people and he gave a small, overwhelmed smile to the woman softly giggling to herself, watching her son with loving brown eyes. He turned his focus to the cake in front of him, eyeing it hesitantly with the weakest of smiles on his face as he took a step towards it, still holding Vianna's hand like it was his life jacket in the middle of the ocean.

Gryffindoll 04-18-2010 11:42 PM

ooc: Hehe.

Vianna's eyebrows rose just very slightly as Ferris tightened his grip around her small hand, a bit of amusement in her blue eyes though for the most part she couldn't help feeling a little bad for putting the boy in this uncomfortable position. Once Mr. Vincenzi, who was so short he was actually lost somewhere in the sea of Vincenzi family members, had announced that he had the camera with him, the group began to sing along a happy birthday song for the birthday boy - of course, in English - and once it was over, they all clapped their hands together and urged the boy to blow the candles - Vince being the biggest nag, of course, because he wanted to steal the largest piece of cake.

"Happy birthday, Professor," Vianna told the boy at her side, flashing him the brightest of smiles before standing on her toes to place a kiss on his cheek, blue eyes sparkling with joy now that she no longer had to pretend she'd forgotten his birthday, and there was no more disappointment or sadness in his own brown eyes. She much preferred her happy - or in this case flustered - Professor.

emmafan123 04-18-2010 11:47 PM

OOC:

Ferris watched as the sea of people around him all rose their voices into a booming anthem of 'Happy Birthday', something he wasn't really prepared for, though it brought a smile to his young face. Granted, it was a slightly flustered, rather sheepish smile, but it was appreciative and rather disbelieving all at the same time as his brown eyes searched the crowd as they all sang to him. Once it finished, and everyone started clapping and urging him to blow out the candles, the boy began to lean forward to do as he was told when he heard a 'Happy birthday, Professor' emerge from the girl at his side and he stopped, returning to his normal height. His smile turned more genuine as Vianna placed a kiss on his cheek and let her blue eyes sparkle at him in the way that he'd been waiting for for the past couple days. He admired her for a moment, dimples in full view, before finally leaning towards the cake and blowing out the candles. Though it took a couple extra seconds as he couldn't get all of them out on the first try, he finally managed to extinguish the cake's candles with a small grin.

Gryffindoll 04-19-2010 12:00 AM

Vianna's smile only widened as the boy at her side turned to her, taking a moment to merely watch her before blowing the candles on his cake, just as the flash of Mr. Vincenzi's camera went off, catching the moment in a photograph that would replay the same scene over and over again for years to come. "Oh wait! He has to wear a birthday hat!" said Giuliana suddenly, pulling off the colourful hat from her head and placing it on the birthday boy's instead, causing Vince to get a fit of chuckles somewhere in the back, Luca joining him soon after as they were apparently the two children of the party.

Vianna, too, couldn't help but chuckle softly at this for a moment before the cake before them magically cut itself into perfectly even pieces and no one had to move to get a piece, as pieces all served themselves in plates that then hovered over to whatever guest didn't have one yet. Vianna watched this with vague interest for a moment before turning back to the boy beside her. "Do you want to open your presents now or after eating?" she asked before glancing cautiously around the room for a quick second and then more quietly adding, "You can't open mine until later tonight, though. Or maybe in the afternoon, after the party's kind of passed," she explained, as if she was talking about some secret plot to rob a bank rather than just a birthday present.

emmafan123 04-19-2010 12:05 AM

Ferris let out a weak chuckle as Giuliana placed a birthday hat over his curls, as apparently this was necessary for the birthday boy to wear, watching as the cake began to cut itself. He was distracted from the sight of the entire party starting to eat as Vianna spoke at his side, asking if he wanted to open his presents now or after eating, adding a warning that he wasn't allowed to open hers until later than night or at least until the party was over. "Alright," he said with an amused smile, watching her with admiring brown eyes. "I...I'll just open them later," he decided with a soft chuckle, a little overwhelmed that he even had presents. "Why did you let them get me things?" he asked, a playful accusing nature to his warm tone as he pulled her a little closer next to him.

Gryffindoll 04-19-2010 12:18 AM

Vianna nodded her head as Ferris decided he'd open his presents later, before then asking the girl why she'd let the others buy him presents, as if this was some sort of crime. The girl's jaw dropped playfully for a moment there before she chuckled softly with amusement. "Because you deserve them," she replied simply, taking a plate into her hands as it hovered before her, waiting to be taken. She flashed the boy a smile and placed a quick, playful kiss on his lips. "C'mon, let's go to the living room. Unless you wanted to stay?" she asked, not wanting to push the boy into doing anything he didn't want to.

emmafan123 04-19-2010 12:23 AM

Ferris rolled his eyes as Vianna told him that she'd let her family get him things because he deserved them, though there was modest amusement in his pale features as he did so. He returned the quick peck she placed on his lips, listening as she suggested they go to the living room unless he wanted to stay in the dining room. "Uh..no, let's go," he quickly said with a soft chuckle, also taking his piece of cake before heading into the other room with Vianna at his side. Once out of the crowd, he let out a small sigh of relief, plopping down on the couch with his piece of cake and sinking back into the cushions with an amused smile.

Gryffindoll 04-19-2010 12:28 AM

Vianna smiled and nodded her head as Ferris agreed to heading over to the living room before leading the way over to it, then sitting down beside the boy as he plopped down on the nearest couch. She took a moment to merely watch him before the most amused of giggles began to escape her lips, though she tried to hide them by covering her lips with a hand. She couldn't help it, though; it was so amusing seeing this 6'3" (or was it 6'4"?) eighteen-year-old boy sitting with a piece of cake in one hand and a very childish birthday hat on his head. She'd definitely never imagined she'd see the boy like this, it was far too amusing a sight.

emmafan123 04-19-2010 12:35 AM

OOC: Let's call it 6'3 and a half. :xd:

Ferris was just about to take the first bite of his vanilla birthday cake when the girl who had yet to sit down started to giggle, attempting to cover it up with her small hand. His eyebrows rose, "And just what are you laughing about?" he asked playfully, a small smile coming to his face. It was then that he realized he had half a bite of cake in his mouth and a party hat on his head, and frosting on his upper lip. "Oh, shut it!" he quickly said with a playful scowl, pulling off the hat and tossing it gently onto the table in front of him, a sheepish smile on his pale face though he remained blissfully unaware of the blue frosting still on his lip.

Gryffindoll 04-19-2010 12:40 AM

ooc: :xd:! Good grief, Vi's gonna have to get a ladder to kiss the boy from now on. :rotfl:

Vianna's giggles only seemed to grow as Ferris accusingly asked what she was laughing about, though he seemed to realize it himself only a moment later (she was already sitting, btw). "Aw, Professor... you're so cute," she informed him between giggles, blue eyes watching him adoringly, as if he was a giant version of her precious Fluffy or something. She seemed amused, though, as he didn't seem to realize he had frosting on his upper lip, and this only sent the girl into another fit of amused giggles that lasted a couple moments before she leaned over, cleaning the frosting off the boy's lip with a kiss.
