"Let's go, you first," Leah smiled. |
"Why me first, what about you?" Jordan asked. Either way she started to head up to her room. |
Leah shrugged and followed her to the rooms. "See you in a minute," she said, running to her room and getting her bag full of books, parchment, quils, and ink. She had to get them second-hand, and she had to find work and pester her family for money. Well, her grandparents, at least. Her parents wouldn't talk to her. |
Jordan nodded and went up to her room and got everything she thought she might need. As soon as she had it all she rushed back down to wait for Leah. |
Leah rushed back downstairs and smiled. "Ready? I'm ready. Let's go," she said. She was about to step out the door when someone shouted at them "Hey, wait up!" Jackson yelled. "Mind if I run with you?" he asked. "Wait. I have an idea," he said, and smiled. He ran to the two and touched them, closing his eyes. The world paused around them. "Hope you don't mind if I tag along," he grinned. |
Jordan looked around when Jackson touched her hand and said,"Cool." She looked around briefly again before she said,"I don't mind, what about you Leah?" |
Leah shrugged. "Whatever," she said. "We don't have to run now," she smiled, shrugging off Jackson's hand. Jackson dropped his hands and smiled. "Thanks, guys. I've been unbelievably bored since I got here." |
"You're not the only one," Jordan said as she started to walk to the classroom they were called to. |
Leah sighed. "'Least it isn't the forest alone," she said with a small smile. She stopped and stretched again, then jogged to them. Jackson nodded. "True," he whispered. They were at the door now. "Ready, guys?" he smiled, taking their shoulders again. |
"Sure sure," Jordan said when she felt him grab her shoulder. |
Leah nodded, looking around at the papers magically suspended in midair. Jackson grinned and closed his eyes, and the world was unpaused. "Thanks for letting me tag along," he said to them as they stepped into the classroom. |
"You're welcome," Jordan said. She went to go sit down and wait to see what was going to happen. |
Leah sat down beside Jordan and looked up at the woman. She shivvered and looked around. Jackson sat down beside Leah and rested his head on his hands. He got out his book from the back pocket and began to read it. |
Jordan looked at Leah and whispered,"Do you have any clue what we are going to do?" |
"Nope," Leah whispered back. She shrugged. "I have no clue," she laughed. "Hopefully nothing bad," she said. |
"I think we might have to introduce ourselves or something like that," Jordan said nervously. |
Leah shrugged. "We might," she said. She had faced more scary things then that. "Wait, is the half-vampire nervous?" she grinned. |
"Not really no, I just don't like public speaking," Jordan said. |
Leah raised an eyebrow and grinned. "Sure, you're not," she said. "Oh, just say your name, and possibly your power. Hopefully that is all it is." |
"I hope that's all I have to say, I can still get sick you know," Jordan warned. |
Leah smiled. "Dude. Half-vampires getting sick. That is awesome," she joked and pulled out a peice of paper. "I'm just kidding." |
"I hope you're kidding, you do not want to see what comes up," Jordan said. She reached into her bag and pulled out a notebook. |
Headmisress Anne watched as the students piled into her classroom before shutting the blinds on the windows. "Welcome students to Controlling your Powers 101, any questions? Good." She said in one breath, walking around the room, "I am here to help you so that you don't kill anyone.. You two up front." She pointed to Leah and Jordan and then to the floor, stand and face each other." |
Jordan got up hesitantly and walked to where the Headmistress told her to stand. She glanced at Leah with a wary expression. |
Leah looked around and stood up, going beside Jordan and facing her. |
