"It's Leighton. Not 'Leigh'," Leighton growled through her teeth. She said Leigh liked it tasted sour on her tongue. No one was allowed to call her that. It was an awful nickname and she loathed it. "I had a decent break." Didn't even bother to ask about Kelly's because she simply didn't care.

Leighton let out another growl, sounding very much like the wolf she was. "Don't. You. Ever. Call. Me. A. Princess." Before Kelly could say anything else to get himself hurt, Leighton grabbed her trunk and moved far away from everyone else. She didn't want to be mean but she couldn't help it; the girl was bitter about how horrible her summer had been and the fact that she was being forced to go to school. All she wanted to do was run free in the woods in wolf form until she died. At least that way she wouldn't have to deal with anyone else, or deal with the fact that her life seriously sucked.

Katrina walked onto the platform. Trunk behind her, she sighed as she looked at everyone waiting around for the transport. She tapped her foot a bit impatiently and spotted Leighton standing all by herself, her normal frown still on her face she dragged her trunk over to where the girl stood, "Hello Leighton," she said politely, "how are you."

Refraining from rolling her eyes, Leighton sighed. Why couldn't people just leave her alone?! Jeez. "I'm fine," she responded, trying her best to be civil.

Katrina raised her eyebrow at Leighton, "Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed," she said with a smirk, "if you would rather be left alone let me know because I will gladly so that."

"Didn't know you were either," Arielle admitted, smiling. "But it's good seeing a fellow Gryffindor here." At Addison's question, she thought for only a brief moment, glancing at Kendall the bird boy on her shoulder. "It seems like fun so far," she told Addi. "And we're riding dragons! How cool is that! It's way better than the lame old train we have to take to Hogwarts." Truthfully, she did like the Hogwarts Express; she liked it very much. She just found the idea of riding a dragon far more exciting and fun.

Caine also shrugged then kept silent as Kelly waved to Leighton. It didn't look like a good idea - the girl looked so grumpy today. Then again, she almost always did. And true to her character, Leighton snapped at Kelly. Man, this girl really needed an attitude adjustment.

When Kelly came back over, Caine sighed. "Nice try, mate."

Addison smiled. "Nah. My cousins a Dragon wrangler. I don't find it that exciting. I've ridden a Hungarian Horntail before. It wouldbe cool if it was a ridgeback though. I haven't been on one of them yet. I love the Hogwarts express. Gives you plenty of time to socialize and the countryside is beautiful." Addy really missed Hogwarts already. There she felt included, she belonged. Here was just isolation. Except at least she had a Gryffie with her and a very nice one in fact.

Sadie sighed. Where were her fellow Vampire's. She seemed to be the only one there and she didn't like that idea at all. She had to socialize. It was better then standing there in silence. She'd already had one good conversation, why not have more. She smiled at the shifter. "Yeah I suppose they do have rather hard skulls. I've always loved big cats, no matter the type, lion, panther, leopard..They are all magnificent." She smiled thinking about Safari's she'd been on in her life. "Well I'd best be off." she smiled at the girl and walked the place where most people were deeply conversing. "Hi" she said weakly.

Thea looked around. More and more people we're arriving. She was growing more bored by the second. Could things get this boring? Just as she adjusted her position on the wall, Thea heard a roar. It wasn't your average roar. It was coming from something huge. She looked out past the edge of the platform to see something in the sky. After a couple of seconds, she knew what it was. It must have been the dragon. The thing was so small, but then again, it was really far off. So this thing must have been huge. As it got closer, she realized it was towing something. It almost looked like a hay cart. You know, like one of those weird open carts from a hay ride. But how was that going to fit everyone she asked herself. Well, she would find out soon.

"No, that's just what you and everyone else gets from Leighton," Caine replied. "She's that way with everyone." It was quite sad really. She might actually be a decent person, but if she kept snapping at everyone who spoke to her then no one would ever bother sticking around her long enough to know.

Arielle's eyes widened when Addi told her that she'd ridden a Hungarian Horntail before. That was her favorite dragon! "Really!" she gasped. "That's so cool! What was it like?" Then she shrugged slightly at her comment about the Hogwarts Express. "I guess so. I do like that dear old train, but it's not everyday I get to ride a dragon to school." She laughed at the last part. Then another girl came over and Arielle gave her a friendly smile. "Hi there," she said. "Are you new here too?" And then Kendall suddenly transformed back into a human. Oh good, now she could talk to him normally. "So, bird boy," she began, looking at him, "how do you do that?"

((I assumed Arielle, Addison, Jack, and Kendall were the group that Sadie came over to. If it wasn't, just tell me and I'll edit. :)))

ooc: I wasn't really talking to anyone. I was just waiting for a reply so yeah that's cool. Don't worry :D

Addi laughed. "It was fun. Maybe a bit jumpy. Those horntails are a rowdy lot when they want to be" she giggled. "Well come to Romania with me one day. I'm sure my cousin won't mind you riding on one of the dragons" she smiled. She looked up as the dragon arrived and sighed. A ridgeback. Well this should be fun. She looked at the new arrival as Arielle did. "Hi" she greeted her.

Sadie smiled. Well someone was talking to her. "No." she replied in response to Arielles question. "I've been her for a year now. It's just, I don't get along well with the other...erm...species. Or rather, they don't get along with me. And I can't seem to find my fellow Vampire's anywhere. They'd better hurry or they'd miss the Dragon. And i'm getting rather thirsty" she said licking her lips. She then thought that was a bad mistake. She didn't want to worry the others. "I'm well I suppose I could be considered as a vampire vegetarian. I drink animals blood not humans...or whatever." Sadie hadn't had a thirst for human blood in many a year now. She was used to it.

Arielle grinned at Addison's invitation to come to Romania with her. "I would love to! The next time you go, you have to take me!" she said happily, quite excited now. Her eyes widened slightly when the new girl mentioned she was a vampire then returned to normal when she added that she didn't drink human blood. Well that made sense. She surely couldn't handle being around so many humans if she did drink human blood. "So what's it like being a vampire?" she asked, quite curious. They seemed like fascinating creatures from what she heard (she did not read).

Arielle rolled her eyes slightly. "I got that part, bird boy," she replied. "I meant how are you one? Do you inherit it from your parents or something? Or did you get bitten by another shifter?" If it turned out to be the latter, she wondered if it would be possible to get bitten by one so that she could turn into a lion. Would that not be awesome?!

Addison laughed. "Okay! As soon as I get an invitation to go Romania I will definitely take you." she smiled at her. Now that was a good plan. A holiday in Romania. Get away from it all and relax a little.

Sadie shyed away and looked down. She didn't like talking about being a vampire. She wasn't ashamed but she wasn't proud. She was used to it by now. It's was just natural. "Well it's good that I can never die I suppose. You basically just feel immortal, Invicible that nothing can ever hurt you. But the thirst you get for blood is torture. If you don't drink quickly when your thirsty then who knows what the outcomes will be. I could probably attack humans if the thirst need was that strong." She looked at the two witches. "Don't worry i'm not that thirsty yet. I drank under an hour ago. I've never had a thirst that strong in the 5 years that i've been a vampire for. Back on that day when I was bitten." She reminiced about the day she was bitten.

Sadie glared at the shifter when he described her as a freak. "Excuse me! That bite actually saved my life" she yelled at him. "It's really not that bad when you look at my situation."

Arielle frowned. Oh, boo, so she probably wasn't going to be able to become one so she could change into a lion. Sigh. "So it's highly unlikely that I'm one then?" she asked, crossing her arms. "Well, that's no fun."

She brightened a little, though, when Addison agreed to take her to Romania. "Yay, thank you!" she said with a smile. Riding dragons would make such a fun holiday.

Arielle listened as the vampire girl explained what it was like to be a vampire, nodding every now and then. "Immortality sounds pretty cool. What does blood taste like, by the way? Does it have a different taste depending on the hum- er- animal?" Sure, she'd tasted blood before when she'd gotten hit in the face - Bludgers tended to do that to you - but perhaps it tasted different to a vampire?

"Maybe you should bite me anyway, just to make sure," Arielle replied teasingly, holding out her arm for a few moments before letting it fall back to her side. Then she turned to Addison, smiled, and said, "Great. I can't wait!" Hearing her comment about being an Animagus, she shrugged and replied, "I suppose so. But it's supposed to be really difficult, isn't it? Though I suppose it's better than nothing." She sighed and was about to reply to the vampire's description of blood's taste, but the girl and Kendall suddenly got into an argument. Arielle rolled her eyes at them.

Arielle giggled. She couldn't help it; it was an involuntary reaction. Curse her girlish behaviors. Curse them! "So you'll hurt the ugly ones then?" she teased, grinning.

((*feels compelled to make an ugly character one day* :P))

Arielle smiled and felt her face grow a bit warm. Sure, it wasn't the first time she'd been called pretty - she'd gotten a couple of those compliments occasionally - but it still made her blush each time. "Well, thanks," she said, her typical reply whenever she happened to be paid such a compliment. She was always speechless on the few occasions when she got nervous. This was one of those occasions.

((Hm... I think I shall. xD))

Arielle laughed a little, and she sounded uncomfortable even to herself. Darn it! "If you'd be so kind," she replied, managing to sound teasing again. Thank Merlin. She always hated it when she got nervous.

"Of course i know." she replied. "My father attended this school. I know a lot more that the average firstie." she said with a tiny hint of an attitude. "I've been to muggle school before. It's absolutely terrible. You take this thing, called a bus. it's disgusting. Terrible experience. I distinctly remember wanting to murder not only the students and teachers but my father as soon as i arrived home." she told Jenna as she took out a nail file and began filing her already perfect nails.

Arielle thought for a moment, wondering if she could think of anymore questions. Then she thought of one. "What sort of classes do they have there - if there are any classes?" She added that last part hopefully. She would love this school forever if she didn't have to take any of those boring classes they had at Hogwarts. Oh, sure, there were some interesting classes there, but all the classes required homework which she did not like. This would be a brilliant school if it didn't have homework - oh! And Quidditch! "Do you have Quidditch at your school?" she added then, quite forgetting her first question. If this school had Quidditch, Arielle could deal with the classwork; it was one of the reasons why she liked Hogwarts as much as she did. Quidditch made everything better.

Leighton rolled her eyes. "Wow, Katrina, and you were the one I was actually civil to. Guess I take that back." She crossed her arms and diverted her dark eyes to an area not clouded with people. No one had cared about her before! Why take a sudden interest? Just because she was pretty didn't mean she was a nice people person!

"It's fine." she said with a wave of her hand. "I wouldn't have expected you to know everything about me in 5 minutes. Although, i would have been extremely impressed." she replied and watched the girl closely. "Are you? Well, how long have you been at this school?" Thea was a bit curious as to how much older this girl was. "The buses were so stupid. They were disgusting. And don't even get me started on the other kids on the bus. Talk about obnoxious." she said. She looked around some more. She winked at a boy passing.

Arielle sighed when he mentioned they had the same classes at Hogwarts. Lovely. They couldn't get anything new? Sigh. Fine then. At least she could watch the lessons for the - hrm, what to call them? - special students. That would be interesting or it ought to be. Better be, more like. And hurrah! Quidditch! She would totally lead her team - whichever one that might be - to victory! Then she laughed. "Oh, of course you don't like brooms - you don't need them," she teased. "Us normal people, however, aren't as lucky."

Katrina couldn't help but smile, "At least you aren't like those evil little barbies who pretend that everything is okay, when on the inside they are mad and sad," she said with a smirk, "if what you want is for me to leave you be, then I will."

Leighton rolled her eyes. "Leave, then!" Jeez, there was no need to stop and attempt to carry on a conversation when you clearly weren't wanted around her.

"Yeah. Even if my father hadn't told me, i would have done a bit of research before hand." she said. "You're seventeen? Oh." Thea looked at the girl. She barely looked seventeen. "So, you're a shifter right?" she asked. "So, what do you transform into?" she said thinking. She clearly remembered her father telling her that you get to choose what you want to be, but you had to see the animal in person. That's why, when she was younger, her father had taken her too a different zoo just about every weekend. She use to beg him to go back to a certain on though. That zoo had had her favorite animal, a snow leopard. That's what she wanted to be.

Thea looked at the girl. "No, you really don't look 17." she said. and looked out as the dragon finally landed, the cart behind it landing gently without a sound. "Hm. An Octopus. How does that work? Don't you need to be in water for that?" she asked a bit confused. She looked at the beautiful Hungarian Horntail before her. There was a person riding on it's back. She assumed that was it's trained. He advised her to step back, but she wouldn't. She went closer, mesmerized by it somehow. She ran a hand along it's neck. Then, some boy knocked her out of the way.

Leonie stared at the Horntail when it landed. Her mouth an 'o' shape. Suddenly she didn't feel scared about it any more, it was beautiful. She looked in it's eyes, and then at the guy who was riding it. Ew. She looked back to the dragon and had an urge to go up to it, but a girl had gone up to it before and then had gotten knocked out of the way. So, look and don't touch Leonie.

Thea remembered hearing that only the upperclassmen were allowed to ride on the actual dragon. Everyone else had to ride on the cart But she wondered how everyone was going to fit on the cart. It was pretty big, but it wasn't big enough for all the students.. She walked back up to the dragon. She had almost felt a connection with it. It was strange. This time, she would make sure someone didn't push her out of the way. She began to stroke the dragon's neck gently.

"Nah, i don't think she's gonna hurt me." she said but stepped back from the dragon. Then, the dragon rider was saying something about having everyone get on now. So, Thea walked to the cart and climbed the step ladder to the top. When she was standing on it, she realized there was no hay, but a trap door looking thing inside. She opened it, and climbed down the small ladder. And inside, it was HUGE. She wondered how a cart so small, could be this big on the inside. She was in shock.

Arielle heard the dragon rider call for them to get on the cart, which rather disappointed her - she'd wanted to ride on the dragon, not some stupid little cart. That was no fun. She turned to Kendall, "Well, I guess I'll see you at the school then. You're flying, right?"

"Well, c'mon then," Caine told Kelly once he'd heard the rider calling for them. "Let's get on the cart. Time for another school year!"

Thea walked over to a bench, since the whole place was empty, so got to decide where she wanted to sit. So, Thea walked back up the tiny ladder, and decided to sit in the front of the outside. She had always loved the feeling of the wind in her hair. It was a very pleasant feeling.

The dragon finally arrived. And Leighton meant finally. The beast had taken forever to get there. Climbing gracefully and effortlessly up the ladder, she moved to sit as far back as possible on the dragon. Let's get this over with, she thought to herself, annoyed that the year wasn't over yet.

"Um, Hi." Thea said, looking over at the girl. "Are you new too?" she asked, hoping she would find some other first year before she actually got to the school. But then again, she wanted to find some of the male variety. She giggled at the thought in her head, but then looked back up.

ooc: I made the dragon take off, because this is moving to slowly. Sorry. So, if you didn't RP your charrie getting on, just assume they are already on it. Thanks :D

"Oh," she said. "So," she drew out the word. "You're a vampire, huh? That's... interesting." she said. "Do you like the school?" she asked. Not really knowing what to expect of it. And as she said this, everyone was on the cart or the dragon, and it had taken off. It was a really rough take off and Thea had assumed that that was one of the reasons that there was an inside to the cart.

Arielle sat down beside Addi with a grin and a soft sigh. "I hope you get to ride the actual dragon in Romania," she said teasingly. "We do, don't we? It's not just a lame little cart ride, is it?" She was incredibly disappointed that she didn't get to ride the dragon to the new school. Even if the cart was rather large and comfortable, she almost preferred the Hogwarts Express. Seriously, why have a dragon if they weren't going to ride it?

Addi rolled her eyes. "Well duh? I'm not gonna take you on some seriously pathetic cart ride. It's just the Dragons back at the wind in your face" she said recalling previous events she's had with dragons. "It won't disapoint you. Don't worry" she said grinning.
Sadie nodded. "Yeah I am. Blood sucker. Whatever name it is you want to call me" she'd heard them all before. Saddie shrugged. "Yeah I suppose it is. When you can actually find another one of your kind. There are very scarce Vampires in this school and well some people are predujice against them." She didn't think that this girl would be though. She looked at her. "I only drink animals blood" she added hastily so she didn't strike fear in anyone.

Arielle grinned. "That's what I thought. Because if I was going to have to ride on another lousy cart I was going to do something very bad. And you know I can do some pretty 'bad' things." She winked, using air quotes around the word bad. "You know how many detentions I've gotten for 'bad' behavior."

"Oh, well.. I'll just stick to the most common one. Vampire. It's the right term isn't it?" she asked. "Oh, i've already met a couple of my kind. Well, of what i think is my kind. I'm not entirely sure what i am yet." she told the girl and it was then that she realized she hadn't learned her name. "Oh, I'm Thea by the way. And you are?" she asked. "Oh, so there's not many vampires here. Well, then.. That's.. odd. If anything, i would have thought there would have been a lot of vampires.." she shrugged. "I guess i was wrong then." And then she heard the part about only drinking animals blood. "Oh." she thought it would have been way cooler to find someone who did, but then again, Thea was a weird person.

Addi laughed. "Sure Arielle. Real bad things." It was true both Arielle and Addi got in trouble in Hogwarts. Addi generally only for accidently (on purpose) 'forgetting' to do her homework. "I think your detention numbers are a lot higher than mine" she said grinning.

Sadie nodded. "Yes Vampires the correct terminology." SHe listened as the girl introduced herself. "Did we not? Oh well hello Thea i'm Sadie" she smiled revealing her fangs and then quickly put them away. "Sorry" she muttered. She nodded. "Well there are very few i've met anyway. Shifters tend to dominate the school more than we do" she added.

Arielle laughed. "They most certainly are!" she said brightly, as if that were a fact to be proud of. Which, to her, it almost was. "I do far more than just forget to do my homework. Remember that time all the bathroom toilets exploded and everyone had to use Moaning Myrtle's bathroom until all the others were fixed? Yeah, now that was great." She grinned and laughed at the memory.

Thea looked at the girl. "Well, I'm glad i have just a bit of knowledge on your species." she said, feeling a tad bit smarter, and pleased with herself. "No, i don't believe we had." she said with a slight smile. "It's nice to meet you Sadie." she replied. "Don't be sorry. I truly don't mind." Thea said, and looked around them as the trees grew smaller and smaller. "Oh, well that's interesting. Really? Shifters dominate?" she asked, intrigued by the idea.

Katrina sighed as she sat down, she breathed in and out. She was extremely bored, she closed her eyes and hummed to herself, hoping that someone would notice her even though people seemed to always just look past her as if she weren't even there.

Thea looked up as another girl sat down on the carriage. She got up and went over to her. "Hi there. I'm Thea." she replied. "You look bored, mind if i sit here?" she asked. She didn't wait for a reply, she just sat down. "So um, are you a first year too?" she asked.

Katrina opened her eyes, and smiled at the girl, "Of course not take a seat," she said with a grin, "Nice to meet you Thea I am Katrina, Katrina Lima...yes I am I am a shifter how about you?"

Thea smiled slightly back. "Hi Katrina. It's nice to meet you." she said. "Oh, well i'm not entirely sure what i am... My dad is a shifter, but my mum was a werewolf. So i have no clue as to what i'm going to end up as. It's rather odd, isn't it?" she asked.

Katrina smiled and shrugging "You could be a dog that can transform at will sort of a mix between a werewolf and shifter," she said with a smile, "It is a bit odd my parents are both shifters and so are my older brothers."

"Yeah, i guess you're right." she shrugged. "Who knows what i'll be. I'll probably be a freak." she shuddered at the thought. Only her first year and already things weren't looking bright for her. "No, i think your family line is more natural. It's more interesting that way."

Katrina shook her head, "Positive thoughts Thea, positive thoughts," she said with a smile, the girl seemed very negative thinker and that was never good, "If you think you'll be a freak then of course you will be a freak."

Thea stared at Katrina. She was right. But of course, Thea couldn't help but feel like that. That was one of the few traits she had gotten from her mother. "Yeah, I guess you're right." she shrugged. "Okay, okay. Then i won't think like that." At least i won't tell anyone when i'm thinking like that.

Katrina smiled, "Positive thoughts make positive things happen," she said as she sat back in the chair, "thinking negative thoughts will make negative things happen, that is why negativity is bad."
