"It was good." Hanz said cautiously, he didn't want Deedee to hear him saying something negative about their summer or she'd murder him on the spot. "We had fun back in Germany, Deedee had the time of her life with one of my cousins who's in charge of magical creatures somewhere south the country but I wasn't that interested y'know." He said sheepishly.

Sapphire grew slightly serious as she heard Victor's words and she sighed a bit as she turned around. "I am sure you can guess what I think of you." She said quietly as she looked up at Victor. Her purple eyes slightly sad as she spoke. " However if you can't... Well...I'm sure that ego of yours will make up whatever you don't figure out." She then turned away from him and moved further in the Kitchen, wanting something more substantial to eat than just a cookie. This was all very strange for her. No one in Hogwarts, being with Victor, scrounging for food.. She never had to do that before.

Josh was getting creeped out, he walked over and got an apple off the counter. After he did that, he hoisted himself onto the counter and motioned the space beside him for Kylee. I don't know, Kylee, I really don't know. He looked around at all the other kids getting food and drinks. He noticed his sister come in towing a boy behind her. He raised his eyebrow at her and she returned it. He turned back and said, I wonder why we are the ones here to. Why do you think we are the "special" ones? He put air qoutes around special.

Nicole smiled and nodded, she had heard about this before and understood. "So you're glad to be back in England then?" She asked him noticing basically everyone had left the Great Hall; Nicole kinda liked that.

Emma grinned at the way Shawn spoke to her,it gave her a fuzzy feeling in the bottom of her stomach.She laughed.She looked at him,"Anywhere...."she said,grinning

She smiled,"Summer.."she said,pointing a finger at her chin."Hmm..well, it was pretty boring.."she said,sighing."It was boring..and it was full of fishing and it was full of visiting grandparents.."she said,laughing."What about you?"she said.

Tristan was surprised when she said there wasn't anything wrong. Then she grabbed his arm and starting pulling him toward the kitchens. Well it was where he wanted to go, but he couldn't seem to figure her out. Odd. He could usually peg people by first meeting, but not her.

So he followed along, keeping pace with her easily.

Serena walked into the kitchen dragging Tristan after her. She saw her brother sitting on the counter eating an apple, he was talking with his girlfriend, Kylee. Brothers, she mumbled. She saw a plate of cookies and grabbed two of them, Want one? she asked handing Tristian one. She smiled again . She was having fun.

Shaking his head, Tristan gave the cookie a disdainful look. "Sorry. Thanks but I'm not a big cookie fan." He scanned the people here and noticed Torin with the Ravenclaw girl, chatting it up. He gave a smirk, he hadn't ever seen his friend like this. It was kinda nice.

Serena shrugged and started to eat it, Yeah. They are not good for you but I love them anyway. She smiled and started bouncing again, Sooo. How was your summer?

Tristan shrugged. He had spent much of it with Torin and his folks. He would have done anything to get away from his own family. He didn't really want to go into all of that so he kept silent, he wanted to divert her attention away from himself. "It was okay. How was yours?"

Serena smiled again. She always smiled unless someone she cared about was in trouble. Well first of all, Josh and I went to Spain with our parents. By the way, Josh is my twin brother and he is over there with his girlfriend, Kylee. Second, we went all over Europe by ourselves. I loved it and I think Josh did too. She sighed dreamily as she remebered.

Tristan smiled. "Sounds like fun." Twin brother? Huh. Well, at least brother was occupied with his girlfriend. Tristan didn't know if he could handle the third degree from a brother. He wasn't used to dealing with people period but that was beside the point.

She nodded, munching happily on her cookie. She glanced around at all the others, Isn't great? Having ALL of Hogwarts to ourselves. She had always wanted to spend all day on the grounds without having to worry about anything. If you could do anything here what would it be? she asked of Tristian.

His family very rarely went on trips. The last one they'd gone on was when he was in his 3rd year. "You'll have to tell me all about it sometime," he said.

He looked into the kitchens and gazed at the elves in shock. They had been all working busily when they had entered the room, but now they had stopped and instead of greeting them with the normal enthusiam they were staring at them as if the group of friends had lost their mind. He watched everyone else in what seemed like slow motion start talking to the elves asking them for food. He voiced the question no one else had asked yet, "Where is everyone? And why are we the only ones here?"

Not that he was complaining about being the only ones here though. At first, sure it was a shock, but now that he had a little while to get used to the idea he found that he was enjoying being here with no teachers a lot. Though he could see one problem as he grabbed himself something to eat that the elves had just placed out. None of them were going to be able to get into their dormitories. They didn't have the passwords, because normally the prefects looked after that. "How are we going to get into our dormitories?" he asked the group at large.

Kylee frown slightly as he spoke, but tried to shrug it off as she hoisted herself up onto the counter beside Josh. She picked up a chocolate chip cookie and took a small bite at it. She had to chuckle at Josh's air quotes, though. She smiled at him, swallowing her bite of cookie. There's no doubt that you're special. She allowed her pale legs to swing lightly while hanging off the counter.

"Well how about we just walk around for a while, I bet somewhere we can find a corridor or a door that we never even knew existed" Shawn suggested with a smile.

"Well mine was pretty much the same as it is every year" He admitted to her. "Pretty much just Anya coming over alot and then the anual trip that our families take each year" He told Emma.

Shawn noticed how much she was grinning and laughing. Maybe it was just the fact that he hadn't seen her all summer and he had forgotten that fact about her. "How come your all smiles today" he said flashing her a grin of his own.

Anya smiled up at Keegan. "Sure I'll tell you about it when you play that song for me" She really was looking forward to him playing it. She knew that he was talented but she wanted to experience it and see how good he was.

As they walked into the kitchens, "Yea do any of you know whats going on around here?" She asked the elves too.

One of the elves perked up her ears as a few of the students walked in. "Ooooo, we are sorry, I can not answer your questions" She said looking up at them with her big eyes. Right after she responded she turned back to washing the dishes.

Josh pretended to have a knife in his heart and pull it out and then he turned around, Oh ouch. Can you get the one in my back, It was a double whammy. He smiled over his shoulder at her.

Brent stood quietly, listening to the others, and occaisonally looking to Kylie to see what she was doing. This was definately interesting. When one of the house-elves spoke, Brent eyes widened. They spoke?! hmm.

He just stood quietly, not sure what to do.

Torin tilted his head to look at Patience curiously as she spoke. She seemed... almost reluctant. Wondering why that could be and just who she was talking about, he said as he pulled her into the kitchen, "Who's Melinda? Your sister?" Giving her a small pout, he added, "That sounds a bit lonely, spending the holidays by yourself... That's why I drag Tristan with me on our family vacations. It gets lonely, not to mention boring, being an only child." Gah, he couldn't imagine having to go on their trips being with just his parents.

"So, let's see what we can find to eat, shall we?" he asked, turning back to the Ravenclaw girl. Glancing around he noticed a plateful of cookies and wrinkled his nose slightly in disdain. After only eating sweets on the train, he was in the mood for something of more substance. Shrugging, he turned to Patience. "What are you in the mood for?" Perhaps he could talk one of the elves he saw walking around into getting them something good, even if they were acting stranger than usual.

As he looked around at the students already congregated there, Torin noticed Tristan and exactly what, or, more precisely, who, kept him from joining them right away. A girl, one that Torin had never seen before, was occupying him and trying to feed him cookies. He watched their interaction for a moment, realizing she was a much different girl from the ones Tristan usually seemed to favor. Strange, but not in a bad way. Of course, Torin himself felt like he immediately hit it off with the girl at his side in a way he never had before.

Emma nodded,"Sounds good to me.."she said,as they walked around for a little."There has to be a door or corridor we've never known existed seeing as we arnt aloud to see every part of the school.."she said,laughing.

Poppy smiled."Sounds nice.."she said quietly."See my family is very conservitive so fun isnt really on the agenda for them.."she said,with a shrug and sad smile."So you should count yourself lucky!"she said,nudging him slightly.

She laughed when he made a comment about her being so smiley."Blame it on the company.."she said,grinning.

She'd missed Shawn alot,then again she'd missed everyone.But being with Shawn now..it made her realise how much she'd missed him,and for a strange reason why she'd missed him.

Kylee rolled her eyes, grinning all the while. I removed that one with my mind ages ago. She elbowed him playfully in the ribs, taking another bite of her cookie and glancing around at the other students.

Shawn continued walking down the corridors. "Well see my family really isn't fun unless we are with someone. See the Cally family and the Rainee family are best friends so if we are with them its fun. So I'm willing to put up with Anya for a little while" He said with a laugh.

"Oh its my fault eh?" He asked smiling. "And how do you figure that?" Shawn said still grinning.

Then he noticed her get quiet for a minute. He wondered what she was thinking about. Would it be rude to ask? Surely not. "What are you thinking about?" He asked her meeting her eyes.

"I've missed England, alright but I missed you more." He said smiling at her and leaning closer. "So what d'you suppose is going on here?" He asked her keen to continue a conversation.

Emma laughed,"At least your parents and family an have any fun,with company or not..my family..well I dont think they even know what fun is..so Summers;they always suck for me.."she said,smiling a little."Anya is easy to get on with anyway,shes a darling.."she said about her friend.

Emma laughed again and nodded,"Well- I dont know..you make me smile.."she said,nudging him."You should stop,my cheeks are starting to hurt.."she said laughing

She sighed,"Wouldnt you like to know.."she said,grinning.

Josh turned back around and put his arm around her shoulders. He sighed and said, What would you like to do now that we have the whole school to ourselves? He grinned at everyone.
