Even William, although to a much smaller extent. Like... she kind of thought that he should have already escaped with her to somewhere not terrible.

But he was here. Looking kind of enchanted. Or bored. It was literally the same face.

"If you don't leave with me now, I"m leaving by myself," Lucie found a seat next to William and parked there. There were probably family seats at some head table (who knew... it wasn't like Lucie had a family anymore or anyone told her anything), but she'd rather sit here. With her date.

Lucie? Luucieeeeee---- oh, there she was. Sitting next to him suddenly. "You don't look like you're leaving," William pointed out, suddenly cheering up because Lucie. He leaned in toward her. "I think we should put some money on how this reception goes. Also, what's the food & drink scene like?" Any good, or should they REALLY leave?

He knew he couldn't really leave though. Neither could Lucie. It was fun to talk about, but think of all the hurt feelings the bride and groom would have... if they even had feelings for anyone besides EACH OTHER.

Love. Gosh. It was real cute at that ceremony though. Real cute. Really.

"Because I'm giving you a chance to run away with me. Honestly. Let's run all the way away." As far as they could go. She snagged to glasses of anything off a tray wandering past and handed one to William. "He hasn't said anything to me today at all. This is what I knew would happen."

She clinked her glass against William's and sipped her glass and glared at her brother's big stupid head. "The food will be really good, probably. If you want to stay. I wouldn't blame you, since you have more to lose than I do."

So that was a no, then, right? "You look good in that suit. Did I tell you that yet? I should have started with that, what with me asking you to run away with me."

"Honestly?" William tapped his chin and then accepted the glass of something off a nearby tray. "I don't think you want to run away, Lucie. Not really. Have you tried talking to him at all though?" It was Vic's wedding day. He was pretty busy, and until just a moment ago, pretty nervous too. Probably.

Anyway, they clinked glasses and Willy chuckled softly, looking over at her as his ears flushed a bit. "Uh," he fidgeted with his tie. "Thanks. You know, if you sit at this table, like with me, it won't be so bad. And we can eat one last really good meal and plan our escape before the night's over." Though by then, Vic and Jan would be the ones escaping to honeymoon, and Lucie would have her place all to herself... that could be cool too.

William was sweet and way too good looking, but he didn't know what it was like. He saw his best friend get married today, but Lucie saw her father figure choose a life that didn't involve her anymore. It was up to Vic to reach out, because he was the one leaving.

BUT. Enough of that, because Lucie wanted to admire how William blushed like a little boy at her compliments, and she wanted to sit here and flirt shamelessly with him, and she wanted to consider escaping with him later in the evening and enjoying his company somewhere that didn't involve such uncomfortable shoes.
