Madam Puddifoot's is laid out in a typical English tea room fashion. Lace doilies cover each table on top of the flower patterned table cloths. In the middle of each is a contained candle, ready to be lit for those on a romantic retreat. The windows are half covered by fancy net curtains, leaving just enough room at the top to see over and down Hogsmeade's High Street. Little flower and heart covered cushions are on each seat awaiting your arrival.
The shopkeeper, a descendant of the original owner, keeps the shop this way because she has to. She has no desire to look upon all the fancy decorations herself, which is why you'll most likely find her in the back room. She'll come and serve you when you ring the bell on the counter, but make sure you know what you want to order as she doesn't have all day. Keep your snogging to a minimum unless you want to be kicked out.

Okay, maybe he was a sore loser occasionally, but it didn't help the blowing kisses and winks. It was like rubbing the win in his face. But why did he care that much? Ordinarily, the very few people that directly tried to mess with him, he brushed them off, and made them fully aware they can't do it again.
So accepting the peace offering of a cake was a little difficult for him. He did reach over and snatched the fork out of Vi's hand before it could retreat far. Just to hold it for now. Especially since he was sharing a personal fact. Okay... Connor understood the hidden meaning, though he didn't say it outright, he could tell that Viano and Diego had something special but one of them felt it for the other more. Unfortunately, he couldn't relate since the thought of him entertaining the idea of dating Falcon gave him the shivers. It'd be like dating one of his brothers, which made his brain shut off immediately, hence him needing to know what was up with the invitation here.
What did his face tell him? "I want to say your face is telling me that you're amused at my discomfort. But I would hope that's not true." Eyeing the cake, "I think you would've made that cake like a Quaffle and thrown it in my face if it were." Which didn't happen. Taking a moment before answering, "I think whoever you have deep feelings for, really is missing out." Because deep, deep, deep, deep down in Connor's own thoughts. Viano wasn't ugly looking. Finally, he decided to try a piece of the cake. "... Needs some whip cream." Okay, he was trying to be cordial here.
Contrary to Connor’s feelings, Vi was aware of the happiness bubbling beneath the surface. This surprised him for reasons other than the other’s presence, reasons he couldn’t figure out right then. Oh well. But… was that really what Connor thought? That he was rubbing his face in the wins? The Ravenclaw couldn’t be further from the truth.
The fork being snatched from his hand caused Vi to laugh softly. He wasn’t laughing at Connor; more in amusement at which the cutlery was taken. But it wasn’t long before he was serious again, observing that his words about Di were being ardently taken in. He had no idea at that moment that Connor had read further into his words, and quite accurately too. As for the FalCon Falcon and Connor? Maybe he would have found that info extra interesting.
“Are you always this grumpy? I’m amused at everything but your discomfort,’’ Vi said nonchalantly though he meant it. Did the words reassure Connor? The Quaffle comment caused a crease to appear between his eyebrows. “Hang on. Why would you think I’d want to do that? I’ve spent the past year flirting with you, trying to get your attention.” Vi dragged a hand through his hair because… he was one hundred percent baffled. How was it that Connor did not see that? Or had he chosen not to see it? “I’m sorry that I made you feel uncomfortable. That wasn’t my intention.” But maybe now he got his answer: Connor wasn’t interested in him. He too took a moment before continuing, but eventually picked up the conversation with a small shrug. “He is. But it is what it is.” Friendzones sucked. It hurt everyday. But to be fair, he had never revealed his feelings to Diego, and before he knew it, his bestie had fallen for Zen.
He was distracted from his thoughts, however, when Connor actually tried the cake. It brought a grin to his not ugly face. “Nah, it’s pretty good on its own. Be right back.” Vi was gone before Connor could say anything and back so quickly you’d think he was The Flash. “Here. Got you vanilla bean flavour and cinnamon flavours.” He set the cans on the table before sitting again. “Not sure which you’d like but those are the ones I'd recommend.”
