I don't think I really agree with this in principle because more often that not, it's an adult who's making all the noise and annoying you. It's not just children under the age of 18 doing it. However, having said that, there aren't any Vues near me and by the time HBP comes out, I shall be 18 anyway. Huzzah! |
I like this, I won't have to put up with 3 year olds screaming, and I won't have to deal with 12 year olds throwing popcorn at me. :D |
i only have a view here and i am so glad they have started this, there is nothing more annoying when you are tryuing to watch a film and little kids are screeming at the screen and things.. View are implimenting this in all cinemas they started with james bond last week |
quite clever! |
I have to agree that this is a good thing, I remember when I went to the last HP movie was at an I-Max theatre at the 10:30 showing and there was parents in there with kids from 5 - 11. It was annoying seeing kids up that late and hearing all noises kids make when your trying to listen. |
I guess that's a good idea, but they should really think about HBP. I like how they have it in the US- rated PG-13, so recommended to be over 13. Which is reasonable for dark moments in HP. But 18? C'mon- WB would certainly be upset as they would loose money. |
Super cool idea! |
why does everything cool happen over there?! :-( |
Well, I've just been to the Website and voted. I think it is a good ideato have the extra showings as adult only. I have been to a couple of showings of the HP films that have been interrupted by kids chattering or acting up so I would definitely choose the adult showing. I have even attended the midnight showings and had them ruined by kids chattering the whole way through and constantly asking their parents to explain what's happening, or they need someone to take them to the toilet, or they kick the back of my seat etc. Don' t get me wrong, I know it is a small few that spoil it for the rest, but I see nothing wrong with providing showings for people who just don't want to be around that. I do know that adults can be just as annoying, but I think that with this type of showing, it is setting an atmosphere or mood for the people who are there, that they are there to watch the film uninterrupted. But I promise, when I go watch the films, God help anyone who sits near me and talks, cos I will go up and tell them to shut it like I have in the past and if that doesn’t work, I’ll get them booted out. What’s the point of going to the cinema f you’re not going to watch the film?! |
