In the Big Bad Read, an online poll conducted by Bloomsbury, Voldemort came top as the UK's favourite literary villain. His creator, Jo Rowling, said the following about the award;

Wow Voldie beat out Sauron as the baddest villain? Well Im guessing more poeple have read HP than LOTR, because I have read LOTR and to me Sauron would beat Voldemort any day of the week. Even tho Volie is my favorite character, so im happy about his win:)

I just noticed that Voldemort beat Sauron. :xd: I do think that they're all evil in different ways...in my opinion The Other Mother is the worst because she's so unhuman and unpredictable, but Voldemort is evil as far as a person with a ton of power and magic available can get.
