Videos: BAFTA Outstanding Contribution to Cinema honour to Harry Potter series
Videos from tonight's Orange British Academy Film awards, which was aired earlier this evening on BBC1 in the UK, have been released online. The first is of Stephen Fry introducing the Outstanding Contribution to Cinema award to the Harry Potter series, featuring a montage of clips and new interviews from Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Robbie Coltrane, Imelda Staunton, Mark Williams, and Julie Walters. J.K. Rowling, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, David Heyman, David Barron, Mike Newell, David Yates, and Alfonso Cuaron went on stage to receive that honour. That can be viewed here.
Note: For all those asking, we mentioned earlier this week that Daniel Radcliffe would have loved to attend the BAFTAs, according to his reps, but could not attend due to his rehearsal commitment for How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying in New York.
Helena Bonham Carter won Best Supporting Actress for her work in The King's Speech. Her winning speech and press room discussion have also been released online, and can be seen below (the best supporting actress category begins at about 2 minutes into the first clip).
Congratulations to all the winners, including many of Helena's The King's Speech cast and crew, and the movie itself, which won Best Film.

Well deserved and it was something special to see them all on the podium. Although I did find it kind of funny how Jo pulled Rupert into the centre, then stood behind David Heyman, avoiding the camera.
Well done, Potter. Hopefully more next year.

Well deserved achievement for all connected with HP...
I watched on BBC, and also through the gallery of the BAFTA pics...Maybe it's just me, but Emma looked subdued somehow. (tired maybe)
Bonnie looked beautiful as always and Rupert very dashing in his suit & tie <3 <3
But where was Daniel ???
Oh yeah big congrats to Helena for her award for Best Supporting Actress..
Your flavour is milk. You're a quiet person and enjoy the peace, but you also
enjoy a bit of something new. You like the unconventional surprises that life
brings. You keep those dear to you close and adore them, as they adore you. ♥

lol yeah i noticed that too
looks like the Baftas are particularly awesome this year. And Helena's speech-- that has got to be one of the greatest acceptance speeches ever-- it had heart and it had humor. AWESOME!

Aww I just finished watching this and was I the only one that started tearing up during the Harry Potter montage? It was so touching :'( And it seemed like Jo and Emma were this close to crying as well! Overall, I'm so proud of all of them. They definitely earned it and I'm looking forward to July 15th
I loved the whole presentation, i do wish though they'd have made some reference to Dan's absence. Yes I know he's in NY rehearsing for 'How to suceed...' most of Potterdom also knows that...though a couple in this thread don't. So , if they don't the rest of the viewing public couuld be putting what ever negative spin they chose on his non appearance.
