Can't watch the video for some reason, not even on The Remembrall...suppose its just my computer...idk.(Maybe it's a sign)

Arghh! I shouldn't be watching anyways until I get my HBP copy but the temptation is too hard to resist.

cait malfoy 12-06-2009 12:33 AM

Ahhh it isn't letting me watch the video! I'll have to look for it somewhere else..

I know, I know. Give me a couple of minutes to reconvert and I should have a proper version up. Apologies all around.

Boy Wonder 12-06-2009 12:42 AM

Why is the video all... slanted :/ ?

masterofmystery 12-06-2009 12:43 AM

It's working now. Please refresh the page and you can see it. Sorry about all that.

hpnaiv 12-06-2009 12:45 AM

Oh my gosh. Heyman's words make me cry :(

Wonderstruck 12-06-2009 12:50 AM

That is awesome! I am kind of bummed there is so much time in between the two parts, but I suppose it could be worse. From that trailer it would appear they are being pretty accurate to the books. Plus David Yates directed Order of the Phoenix and that was my favorite movie so far, so I am glad he is back directing. Not to say I didn't like the other directors, but he is my favorite.

PotterGirl714 12-06-2009 12:51 AM

WOW! That is so cool! I can't wait! When do Harry and Hermione dance???????

cr1509 12-06-2009 01:08 AM

Awesome!!!
but can't figure WHY they are dancing ?
one more year and we'll know

Omg!! I died a little

Padfoot7 12-06-2009 01:08 AM

Hm... I'll wait until I have my own HBP to watch this. :)

#1_harry_potter_fan_22 12-06-2009 01:13 AM

Aww! That dance between Hermione and Harry is so sweet! See? I knew it wouldnt be romantic and there was nothing to worry about. I think it's good because it sort of lightens the mood a bit. I have the shirt Hermione is wearing in that scene by the way

I love that high-five between Hermione and Harry too! It's so cute! Let's not forget about Ronniekins! He looks so cute when he's hiding behind that wall in (London?) I wonder what he's hiding from though :hmm:

It is so much better in High Quality! Thank Youuu! Ahh! I'm excited all over again! :faint:

RadcliffeWatson 12-06-2009 01:13 AM

I can't WAIT!!! Harry and Hermione look really cute dancing :D This film looks FANTASTIC !!!!!!!

Sirius_Padfoot 12-06-2009 01:20 AM

I don't think it's really a Harry/Hermione dance, it's probably Dan and Emma kidding around. Then again, Harry and Hermione are probably dancing a little bit for the part when they found out about the sword being able to destroy horcruxes (right before Ron leaves)

johnlocke06 12-06-2009 01:22 AM

i don't think the high five is harry and hermione, i think it's dan and emma bts.

iwantorlando05 12-06-2009 01:24 AM

OMG!!! It looks AMAZING!!!!!! I love how the film looks! It's so creepy and fantastic!! The splinching scene with the trio looks so creepy!! I LOVE how Olivander and Griphook look! The shot of Hermione walking in London looks AMAZING!!!!

I thought the Harry/Hermione dancing scene would be at the wedding, but clearly it's not. I wonder if they will almost kiss or something. That would be hot, but doubtful considering they're like brother and sister. I think the scene looks really sweet and it seems to take place after Ron leaves because are the clothes Harry/Hermione are wearing when they were filming on location in Scotland.

Oi, WHY is Ollivander telling the Hallows story? What's the point of even including Xeno then, since his main function in the book was to relate the story to Harry? OK....minus ONE point from Kloves. :hairpull:

I think they're just refreshing our memories, since Shell Cottage is in the second part of the movie. I've no problem with that then.

Awesome Teaser, and Yeah that is most likely why he is mentioning them, since we wont even see that part of the movie till 2011 :P I guess that's super sneak peek at part 2 :P

granger_malfoy 12-06-2009 02:39 AM

ok what scene is the fourth screen picture from its hermione in that striped suit i just cant work out what thats from?
and dont harry and hermione dance when ron has the necklace on and they dance and kiss?

R-Luchy~W*7*PG~ 12-06-2009 02:43 AM

They DID say that Dobby's death is in the first part.. So,Shell Cottage is on DH Part 1..

Shlesha 12-06-2009 03:03 AM

I love how it was in HQ! :D I love this. Heyman said something about Dan/Emma at the beginning, does anyone know what he said? The dance between H/Hr definitely did not take place at the wedding that means. Hopes down. If it is after Ron leaves, then I will be quite annoyed. But, yes, it could be a little happy dance when they realize that the sword can destroy horcruxes. It could be the scene right before where Ron walks out. Because they look happy in the scene, and seem to be laughing. Hm...

Ollivander is just telling him about what the Deathly Hallows do and how powerful they are. Xeno just tells the origin story and what they are.

decarus 12-06-2009 04:52 AM

The split is after the Xeno scene and then Harry, Ron, and Hermione are chased through the forest from Xeno's house and then captured by the snatchers/death eaters right before they take them to Malfoy Manor. That is the end of the film, not after Dobby's death.

HP&GW88 12-06-2009 05:52 AM

So excited and a little sad. It's going to be very bittersweet

Kavitha 12-06-2009 07:45 AM

So the Harry/Hermione dancing scene is not during the Wedding.. see, told you that Kloves will mess up! I will tell you how Ron will be portrayed.. as if he is this twin brother of Voldemort who hates to see anyone happy! when clearly Ron is the only character who is all heart.. don't be surprised if the film has:

1) Harry and Hermione dance out of sheer happiness after Ron has left them during the Horcrux hunt *rolls eyes till they ache*
2) Voldemort and Ron plot together to bring Harry's downfall, since, you know, Ron is more or less a villain according to Steve Kloves
3) Harry and Hermione marry in the epilogue and have a cute family *not even bothering to roll eyes*

Steve Kloves must have had a field day, butchering Ron and making him look like he is the worst character in HP and make Harry look like he is a saint!
I know my rant is totally irrelevant to the 'sneak peak' context, but I think it is high time we stop making excuses for the supremely 'un'-talented Steve Kloves and actually have some canon moments in films!

P.S: one more doubt.. since they stupidly burned down Burrow in the 6th film, where exactly is the Bill-Fleur wedding taking place? They rented Malfoy Manor for the evening I suppose :P

I don't see how Kloves is messing it up by adding a dance scene.

I think the reason Half Blood Prince is my favorite Harry Potter movie is because it did not try to copy the book chapter-by-chapter, which is what the first two movies did and they tended to drag and get boring.

In Deathly Hallows there is a lot of traveling and pondering which will not translate to film very well. Books are very passive in the way we experience them but movies are very proactive. To have Harry and Hermione sit sulking about the coming doom would be quite boring to watch and as a screenwriter Kloves has added a scene which will add spice and a little joy, because Harry and Hermione still have each other. While we're on the subject of adding/altering scenes, did you notice in the behind-the-scenes footage how they were being chased in the forest by what seems to be Death Eaters? Now I'm sure some of those who prefer movies to be tied down to their source material, plot-point by plot-point, would say this never happened or is uncanon. As I've argued before about movies being very proactive and visual, a scene like this probably breaks up the monotony of the trio just trekking through the woods for months. That or it could be an extension of the Snatcher scene.

I'm not to sure about your arguments against Kloves and the way he treats Ron. I think I would agree that he makes him look like a jerk in the first few movies but that's kind of what Ron is because he is a guy of heart rather than of intellect or valor. Plus, when you're younger to tend to be mean to those you like. Also, what about the last scene in Philospher's Stone! That was a noble thing for Ron to do!

In the end JK Rowling, though she really has no power within the studio system, has signed off on Kloves and I've gotten used to him and the film medium. We have to remember that these movies are a separate medium from the novels and they are told in separate ways!

Oh and I also do agree that Kloves did a little bit of Harry/Hermoine shipping in the first four films (until he took a break from Potter in Phoenix).

WHen you say "canon" moments in film what do you mean by that exactly. I'm just wondering. When you say canon do you mean the way they happened in the book or the way the felt in the book?

I think their intent was right but the outcome was a little "eh..." in that new scene.

Taiya89 12-06-2009 09:02 AM

Haha, that's so funny...The H/Hr dance doesn't look so bad. But why is Harry lying on the ground?

OMG! I totally didn't even realise Hermione has Ron's blood on her hands in that one scene...I thought she was wearing red cloves...but I'm looking at the stills now...and WOW!

Lucky Charm 12-06-2009 09:38 AM

I can't wait!I would like to see a little bit more of Ron in this teaser!
I still think thet thet dance is unnecessary if it is indead after Ron leaves . I just have problem with the moment of the scene , not with scene as a scene!

If Dobby's death scene is on DH Part 2,audience will not feel that sad.. Dobby will have more scenes on DH part 1..and Dobby's death also in Part 1.. So people can really feel the emotional of it..

We all are reading the same book yes??? Hermione would never even almost kiss Harry- unless it is the Riddle Harry/Riddle Hermione.... this relationship in DH belongs to the beautifuly bushy haired girl and hot red headed ginger... the dance b/w Harry and Hermione does seem very sweet-I bet anything Hermione will confess her feelings for her Ron to Harry when she dances w/ him.

MissRastaban 12-07-2009 01:19 PM

There is a MASSIVE spoiler on Harrypotterforums (which could be completely false) by someone who claims to be working in the art dept. He said (amongst many other things) that the dance between Harry and Hermione happens after Ron has left them. I avoid words like 'betrayed', because if Ginny gets a pass for all the kerfuffle she caused when posessed by a horcrux in Chamber of Secrets, so should Ron. Remember Harry, who wasn't wearing a fragment of Voldemort's soul, told him to leave.

Anyway, apparently Hermione is very upset and we see the two of them sulking and moping for a while. Then they eventually talk about Ron for the first time and there are a few dance type steps as Harry tries to cheer Hermione up. That doesn't sound too bad. Hopefully Kloves has abandoned any hint of a love triangle. Love triangles just seem cheap, not romantic and Hermione in canon doesn't come across that way.

The films have diverged uncessarily from the books since about PoA, so it's hard to see why they should improve now. JKR isn't going to help either - she only speaks up occasionally if she thinks an omission will cause trouble later. That said, she apparently insisted that Grawp not be cut, Heavens knows why. She keeps quiet over the unimaginative additions, which is a shame. Regardless of what might be in her contract, her influence over public opinion while she was writing, was such that no exec would have ignored her if she did make her disagreement public. I say exec, because I feel that Kloves, while I dislike him, is a puppet in the hands of the studio execs who think that the hero should end up with the girl and try to downplay the 'other' sidekick and turn him into a jibbering idiot. Of course a witty, brave and sarcastic best friend of the hero wasn't at all sucessful in the first three Star Wars films.

If the above chap is genuine, the last two films should be quite a bit better than the dull and painfully incoherent HBP. They've got so much acting talent in the older cast, I hope they make good use of them for the first time, as they have two films to tell the story.

FINALLY the voice of reason returns! I completely agree with the concept of Harry trying to cheer Hermione up. JK said that during Ron's time away, Harry and Hermione did share something that Ron was not able to be a part of, that doesn't take a thing away from the Hermy/Ron relationship in the slightest.

As far as Rowling herself is concerned, my respect for her is pretty much nil with regards to the films. She's got her millions, she's richer than the Queen, what does she care what the fans who GAVE HER THOSE MILLIONS think about the total hack job the studios are doing to her novels? And again, I completely agree with the fact that Rupert Grint has been given the shortest possible end of the stick with regards to his character's development since Prisoner came out. He has had no chance whatsoever to stretch his acting talents, other than his little fight with Harry in GOF. THe movies have shifted focus almost entirely to Harry and Hermione as the central figures, and Ron has been relegated to a guest role. It's disgusting and it's unfair to Rupert and those of us who love Ron so much.

Those are Snatchers, not Death Eaters. I believe they are more competent in the film than they are in the book. The scene has been beefed up to make it more action-orientated, creating a more thrilling climax to the first movie.

I bought the Blu Ray edition of HP and HBP at Walmart at 4 am to make sure i get a copy but i won't be able to view it till Dec 25!! so i have not seen the trailers or anything about DH!! i did get a discount for coming in Walmart at 4 am to get the dvd!! my mom is giving it to me for Christmas!! I can't wait!!

I have not been really happy with JK Rowliing for a long time! She has let the movies not represent the books at all!! The first two did as much as they were made because Chris Columbus made sure of that!! i would rather have him do the last two. in one of the movies credits rolling Rupert was not mentioned as one ofthe main three. i can't remember which one but everybody who has not read the books and even the ones who have read the books have seen Rupert Grint's character sorely underwritten and produced!! why most of the media think it's about Dan and Emma when it comes to movie credits!!
