Video: Harry & Aunt Petunia say good-bye in Deathly Hallows: Part I deleted scene Warner Bros has released the first deleted scene from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I, where Harry and Aunt Petunia part ways from an empty Number 4, Privet Drive. The pair have a rather poignant heart-to-heart about the dangers they're about to face, and Petunia reveals how she did indeed lose her sister the night of Voldemort's fall many years previous. That can be viewed here; screencaps can be found in our galleries. http://www.snitchseeker.com/gallery/...etunia_011.jpg http://www.snitchseeker.com/gallery/...etunia_035.jpg http://www.snitchseeker.com/gallery/...etunia_060.jpg http://www.snitchseeker.com/gallery/...etunia_107.jpg http://www.snitchseeker.com/gallery/...etunia_124.jpg http://www.snitchseeker.com/gallery/...etunia_172.jpg The Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I Blu-ray and DVD sets, out on April 11, 2011 in the U.K. and April 15, 2011 in the U.S., can be pre-ordered on the WB Shop or Amazon at the links below. WHAAAT! Deleted that why may I ask? UGHHH! I <3 that scene, it was reeeeeaaaally good! It shows that Petunia wasn't all evil and stuffs. |
Awww that should have been in it! |
Excellent scene, they shouldn't have cut it, it's not that long anyway! :( |
Awwww :loved: That was lovely! I even teared up a little at the end. I wish they'd kept that in the movie, but I'm glad at least that they filmed it and are letting us see it now. :) |
I was welling up with tears just watching it,and for the sake of 58 seconds they cut it why??? |
This scene was perfect! WHY was it deleted?! |
Like everyone else, I don't understand why they deleted that. The movie did not seem overly long at all. After everything is said and done, it would have offered the film viewer a little more closure regarding the Dursleys. |
Harry and Aunt Petunia Say Goodbye I can understand why they deleted it either.... Doesn't make sense to me.:snape2:>:/ |
:x3: Why did they cut that?!?! "You didn't just lose your mother that night at Godric's Hollow. I lost my sister" That showed that Petunia had SOME compassion for Lily and everything. Ugh ugh ugh. |
Wow! That was just so good! I was watching with my mouth open the entire time! What a mistake, not putting that in the movie! |
They deleted it because of pacing. This would be during that whole montage scene at the beginning but I honestly can't see how this would fit into it. In my opinion this scene isn't just awkward, it's bad awkward (bad awkward is when you can't stand to watch it, like Twilight for instance *sorry*). I wish they'd stuck with what was in the book or something closer to it. I mean, I like that Petunia is saying something rather than not like in the book, but, I don't know... |
Oh my goodness. |
amazing! for a split second I thought she was going to be good to him... |
awww man <3 |
I like this scene. I wish they had the one with Dudley and Harry, as well. But I can see how it wouldn't fit into the movie at the right time. |
Why did they delete it!!! |
i don't understand yates sometimes. |
It shouldn't have been cut, but I'm glad at least it's on the DVDs and Blu-rays. But... this was me for the entire duration of the clip. I flailed when I saw the headline on SS news for this thread, but the clip... OH MY MERLIN. :faint: |
Oh I love that scene. I loved it in the book too. Shame it didn't make it into the movie. :loved: |
I love that scene! Why did they have to go and do a silly thing like cut it! |
Okay... I have to admit that I cried the majority of that clip. For reals. *wibble* |
Errmmpph!! (Is that a word?) Why?!?!?! did they delete this beautifully magicaly teriificle part of the movie. It think it's great, how Petunia says all those things, it's almost saying sorry to Harry for the mean-ness (sort of) :PNat x |
Why the BLOODY HECK did they delete that? That was beautiful! |
They definitely should have kept that in. |
