| | |  Video: David Barron reveals Deathly Hallows: Part II epilogue will be 2 minutes long
At CinemaCon earlier this week, producers David Heyman and David Barron revealed that the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II epilogue will be about a couple of minutes long, and will revolve around the cycles of life. That can be viewed below.

"It's not long. It's about two ... a couple of minutes," Barron said. "It's long enough to tell its story. We like it. We think it works well, and it does leave you feeling a bit [emotional]."
"We're expressing it through our three principle characters, who obviously have had a terrible time in many respects. Because they have been fighting Voldemort for longer than we can remember, and came close to death, you'll see the state of the school at the end. It was not an easy battle," he said. "As countries, as nations do, as cultures do, they recover and they renew and life carries on. It is about renewal."

"[The epilogue is] about the cycles of life," Heyman explained. "It's about Harry, Ron and Hermione taking their children to King's Cross station to the very place where the story began, to begin the journey that they began many years ago. It's really beautiful and really tender."

then WHY epilogue of an eight part movie is just 2 minutes?? 
i was expecting more, always forgetting that who is the director.. !

i was expecting more, always forgetting that who is the director.. ! That's ridiculous. The LotR Epilogue had wayyyy more book time than the DH Epilogue. Think about it, in LotR you have so much stuff; Aragorn becoming King, the Hobbits and Gandalf going back to the Shire, Sam getting married, then finally with Frodo and Bilbo leaving.
And in Potter, you have two families taking their kids to Kings Cross and getting them on the train. Of course it's gonna be less than 5 minutes!
As long as the quality is good, which hopefully it is, then the length really doesn't bother me.
And you should have more faith in David Yates, he's a fantastic director, and although he's cut out lots of stuff, the films he's directed have still been fantastic!

Don't forget that this is the second part of a single story shown in two parts. When we think about it, there's not so much left from this point!
