Momentum Pictures, an Alliance Films company, are proud to announce that the highly anticipated big screen adaptation of THE WOMAN IN BLACK will be released in UK cinemas on 10 February 2012.
Based on the classic ghost story, THE WOMAN IN BLACK tells the tale of Arthur Kipps (Daniel Radcliffe), a lawyer who is forced to leave his young son and travel to a remote village to attend to the affairs of the recently deceased owner of Eel Marsh House.
Working alone in the old mansion, Kipps begins to uncover the town's tragic and tortured secrets and his fears escalate when he discovers that local children have been dying under mysterious circumstances. When those closest to him become threatened by the vengeful woman in black, Kipps must find a way to break the cycle of terror.
THE WOMAN IN BLACK also stars Ciaran Hinds (TINKER, TAILOR, SOLDIER, SPY) and Janet McTeer (TUMBLEWEEDS), was adapted from Susan Hill's novel for the screen by Jane Goldman and directed by James Watkins (EDEN LAKE).
if thats anything to go by, i will be watching it through my fingers. But, why has it been moved?
Moved? there was not official date yet.
But "How to succeed..." run has been extended until next year so maybe that's why the film will be released then, so Dan can promote it when he finishes his musical.
It's just a teaser of a teaser but it looks sooo good! I can not wait to see it!
Also, for those talking about scary movies, this is not one of those movies. If you are familiar with the book or the play, this is more like a psychological story. It's very good, it's not coincidence it's the play with the longest run in history of the Uk.

Woah! I'm deeply impressed! This seems like it's going to be the movie of the year! I'm very excited for it although a bit dissapointed about the delay in the release However, I agree with Amy and I'd like to think that it has been done to suit Dan's schedule

Looks interesting. I'm a big horror movie fan, so I hope this comes to the U.S.! I really wanna see it. It'll be fascinating to see how he does in a different movie genre

This looks so creepy. I wanna watch it,get creeped out, then watch again. Love movies that give the creeps, way better then those that end predictively. Give me a good horror movie any day.
