Universal Studios Hollywood Wizarding World of Harry Potter April construction update
 

Universal Studios Hollywood held a premiere for their latest attraction, Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem this past Friday. Located on the opposite side of the theme park from the currently under-construction Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Minion Mayhem is in the new Super Silly Fun Land area. Despicable Me film star Miranda Cosgrove was there to help open the attraction.

SnitchSeeker was on hand to cover the Minion ride's opening, and afterward trekked over to the tram tour that sits just behind the construction zone for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Amid the dirt hills stands the large steel skeleton structure of what eventually will become Hogwarts Castle. The tram tour wait lines are situated on the backside of the future castle.

Universal announced this week that the Wizarding World will open sometime in 2016 - we suspect it will be in early spring. Also, rumor has it that the tram tour may include a Harry Potter element involving the Hogwarts Express.

THey need to hurry up with that date. I'm getting anxious!

Oh please, we still don't have dates for Diagon Alley or Japan and they both open THIS YEAR. We won't know about Uni Hollywood for ages.

I wish they could get it done sooner! I can't wait for it to open
