Tom Felton & Bill Nighy talk Robin Hood Tax proposal
Actors Tom Felton and Bill Nighy supported the Robin Hood Tax proposal earlier today in London. Tom and Bill recorded promotional videos earlier this year, in which they play characters who stand for a possible small tax - sometimes as low as 0.005 percent - on banks, edge funds and other financial institutions, which would raise potentially billions of pounds that would go to help fight poverty and climate change all around the world.

Tom, who plays Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, said: "I think it should have happened decades ago. Now it's a better time than ever to get this off the ground."
He admitted he had not yet decided which party would get his support. "I am one of many thousands of people who have yet to decide how to cast their vote next month. I am waiting to see which party or parties back the Robin Hood Tax," he said.

Bill said the tax was "a beautiful, simple thing, easily achievable" and the Robin Hood Tax campaign already had the support of hundreds of thousands of people.
"We urge our political leaders to listen to them and endorse the introduction of the tax," he said. "The Robin Hood Tax is a tiny levy that could make the difference to many people in the UK and abroad, that will cost us personally nothing."
