| | | The Truth About Miss Watson's Dress
As it turns out, the lovely dress worn by Emma Watson at the London 'Goblet of Fire' Premiere last week was previously owned! The UK's Telegraph reports: Quote:
The cream silk chiffon gown, embroidered with gold sequins, which Emma wore at last week's premiere of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, originally belonged to the "screen goddess" Anna May Wong
Quote:
Like Emma, Miss Wong, pictured in a similar dress, stood at 5ft 6in and also started her acting career as a child star, in a silent film, The Red Lantern - produced in 1919 she was 13.
Quote:
This is where the similarities end. Miss Wong, who died in 1961, was known by film critics as a seductress, exotic temptress, a femme fatale, whereas Emma has been described as a "happy-go lucky girl next door".

It's great she can wear second hand clothes, I'm glad she doesn't think herself too "above" everyone else for it |

I wouldn't dress something from someone who died... oh wait! I've got a pyjamas from someone who's dead of my family...

Maybe we'll see our kids come here one day.

First of all it was a vintage dress, so yeah previously owned and second of all, Emma said that it was a dress from the early 1920's/1930's, so she said it herself that it was previously owned. And so what? The dress looked great, and that's all that matters.

I wonder what makes people afraid of the dead? Are they gonna back back? Nope. Why not use what they left behind? It's appreciating things they were once.
I haven't seen the dress... but so far I hear it's rather nice!
