Steve Kloves to write ‘Deathly Hallows’ screenplay? Internet Movie Database lists Steve Kloves as the screenwriter for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Kloves has written all of the Harry Potter screenplays, except for Order of the Phoenix. This is a rumor at this point. There has been no official announcement from Warner Bros. The site also lists the release year for the film as 2010. |

Why is everyone hating on Kloves? The four films he did were all amazing. Like to see how you all would condense a 730 page book into a 2 hour movie. Give the guy a break! |

It\'s probably just there because they wanted to placeholder the page and he\'d done four movies so far. Since he didn\'t do OotP, I don\'t see him doing the last movie. I may be wrong, of course. Anyway, don\'t blame the screenwriter for a bad movie. I\'ve seen the script for Star Trek Insurrection, and it was a lot better than the movie. Blame the directors and producers for bad cuts. |
If JK\'s happy with the screenplays, then so am I. She and Kloves worked together for the most part of the screenplay writings, and I imagine it would be extremely difficult to condense something so large and detailed into 2 hours. I personally love the movies. Not as much as the books, nothing can change that, but the movies have been the best they can be with the amount of restrictions they have. Sure, GoF wasn\'t the best of the lot, but it was still enjoyable and exciting. I\'m going to reserve my judgement on Harry Potter screenplays and their writers until after OotP. Having a different screenwriter to the rest of the films, who knows how it\'ll turn out? Sure, it looks good from the trailers, but what we\'ve seen of the film is just a droplet in the ocean. The film really can\'t be judged on such a minute amount of footage. Kloves has done the best he can with what has been available to him. Don\'t give him such a hard time for doing his job...Like I said: If JK\'s happy, I\'m happy. |
