After eight hours of interviewing cast and crew on the set of
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 last year, SnitchSeeker was led outside to the Hogwarts courtyard where we witnessed a night scene being filmed. It began with a bunch of panicked students running in all directions. Then Professors McGonagall and Flitwick, along with Molly Weasley, Seamus Finnegan, Neville Longbottom and Cho Chang came down the steps of the school. (Matt Lewis stepped on the back of Maggie Smith’s cloak during one take and she almost took a header.) McGonagall sent Seamus and Neville off to blow something up, and then she cast the spell
Piertum locomotum which brought life to the suits of armor inside the castle.

McGonagall: Hogwarts is threatened! Man the boundries! Protect us! Do your duty to the school!
The “knights” on our end were extras dressed in cream-colored body suits, waving a fake sword in one hand and in the other holding a big bright green round disk in front of their chests. It was quite a hilarious sight. Even Maggie Smith laughed when they rushed past her on the first take.
