A School in the UK has chosen their question for JKRowling tommorow, in a chat to celebrate World Book Day. The lucky pupils have also got the chance to ask the question themselves. Article: School decides question for JKR Chat Tommorow
Three of the students at Ulverston Victoria High School in the UK will be chatting to JK Rowling tomorrow. The pupils won the chance to ask her a question as part of the hour long web chat to launch the second World Book Day Online Festival. The school is one of 12 across the UK whose students won the opportunity to talk to the children’s author during the web chat. The question Victoria High pupils will be posing to JKR is: "Do you realise Harry & co sit on their broomsticks backwards and that you can't balance like that?"
The WebChat with JKR takes place tommorow at 10 GMT/5am EST/4am CST.
If you're not sure, check this TimeZone Map to know when the chat starts in your area. Mugglenet |

*laughs* now that is an interesting question. backwards? i dunno, it's the way i'd sit on it, too. i mean, if you sit on it the other way round... doesn't make much sense *and* would look stupid.

According to legends and old folk stories, you do actually sit on the broom, the opposite way to how JK has the kids playing quidditch on.

well, but does that make sense to you? i mean, that way you'll have the heavy side in front of you...
but come to think of it.... that *really* doesn't work the way j.k. describes it. you'd have to constantly push down on the stick in front of you..... never really thought about that.... but i guess that's what magic is for

She'll probably like that question better than something like, "Is Harry and Hermione completely platnoic?" as it's different and requires her to think about it rather than reurgitate an old answer to an old question.
Yes, Adam. Which means we're all in school.
