Emma Kennedy, an actress who worked with him on the series, recorded her day with him in her blog. Rupert Grint.net has the story here complete with never before seen pictures of Rupert with the cast of 'Baggy Trousers'. Quote:
Rupert Grint who plays Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter films was playing Molesworth and I think its fair to say that everyone involved (myself included) were all overexcited about the fact. Even though Rupert was, in every respect, just a shy 15 year old, he managed to reduce much more experienced actors to quivering wrecks.

Someone who shall remain nameless ( but he's in just about everything and has done a film with my heroine Emma Thompson) was giddy beyond belief.
"Do you think Rupert will give me his autograph?" he said, bending in close to whisper to me.
"Of course he will," said I. "He's lovely."
"And will you take a picture of him with me?" said the actor, bug eyed and hopeful.
"If Rupert's dad says its OK," I said, remembering that despite the young Grint being a Major star, he is still a minor.

When Rupert arrived we all cheered because we couldn't help ourselves and then did that thing of all staring at him and grinning and not knowing what to do next. Rupert smiled back and then put his hands in his pockets and stared at the floor.
Shy teenagers bring out the maternal in me and throughout the day I had to suppress uncontrollable urges to put my arm round him on a minute by minute basis. I did manage a quick squeeze at one point but poor Rupert just looked a bit frightened.

I went to kiss him but pulled out at the last moment. My mind went into a minor maelstrom and I heard the words "Its been lovely to meet you Ron," come cascading out of my mouth.
He looked at me.
"I'm Rupert," said the stellar Mr Grint.
"Yes," said I, staring at him extra hard. "Of course you are."
