Rupert Grint, Jim Broadbent, David Tennant lending voices for Postman Pat: The Movie
 

Harry Potter actors Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley), Jim Broadbent (Horace Slughorn), and David Tennant (Barty Crouch Jnr) have been announced to lend their voices to the animated film adaptation of Postman Pat: The Movie – You Know You're The One, set to begin production this fall for a spring 2013 release.

Postman Pat: The Movie – You Know You're The One sees Stephen Mangan, who played Dan Moody in I'm Alan Partridge and Sean Lincoln in Episodes, voicing the popular postie.

The film sees Postman Pat enter a national TV talent show - which threatens to tear him away from Greendale and the friends he loves.

The show forces Pat to come face-to-face with the temptations of money, status and even a shiny new suit.

Mangan said: "I'm absolutely thrilled to be playing the world's best-known postman in his big screen debut. He's an iconic British hero and it's a great script.

Even though I'm waiting for real Movie News, I'm glad he doesn't forget about training his Voice :D and together with David Tennant from Doctor Who!

Omg...Postman Pat! I think I'm gonna cry. I grew up in the USA, but I was born in England and had soooo many Postman Pat books...I love Postman Pat and I love Rupert and oh my gosh this is just so great.

Cool i've never heard of Postman Pat before. :) I've heard of Inspector Gadget though :) ...but i would like to see this because Rupert is in it & he is...Awwwesome! :D

It's very interesting how much Harry Potter actors have parts in other shows. This one has David Tennent (Barty Crouch, Jr.), Rupert, and "Oscar-winning actor Jim Broadbent" (Professor Horace Slughorn).

To me, this feels like Harry and Hermione's response to the first time they heard of "The Tales of Beedle the Bard". As someone raised outside of Britain, I've never heard of Postman Pat but others are saying that this is a very common show and "everyone knows it".
