Ralph Fiennes, Dan Radcliffe & Tom Felton talk Voldemort's portrayal & character

Ralph Fiennes, Daniel Radcliffe, and Tom Felton recently spoke about the former's performance as Lord Voldemort in the Harry Potter series. Dan and Tom reveled in how frighteningly in-character Ralph is when portraying the Dark Lord, and Ralph opened up about how Satan-like his counterpart is.

"He's really sort of the devil," says Fiennes, 47. "He's completely emotionally detached. He has no empathy. You find that in psychopaths."

"It's about power with Voldemort," he says. "It's an aphrodisiac for him. Power makes him feel alive."

"Daniel's very nice, but Harry Potter's a pain," says Fiennes, scowling and hissing.

"Jo Rowling has always said that the thing that separates Harry from Voldemort is that Harry is not afraid of death," Radcliffe says.

Radcliffe was consistently unsettled by Fiennes. "When Ralph's doing his Voldemort stuff, he just really freaks me out."

"Ralph is mesmerizing," Felton says. "He never did two takes the same. ... I had to keep reminding myself: 'Stay in character. Don't just sit there and watch his performance.' "

Even when the cameras stop, the aura of Voldemort remains.

"He dominates scenes in the film, and it's like that off the set as well," Felton says. "He's quite a charming guy. And when he opens his mouth, people listen. Let's put it this way: No one talks over him."

I would put Ralph's performance up there with Anthony Hopkins in Silence of the Lambs. Utterly perfect in their psychosis.

He can never top Amon Goeth for pure sadistic human evil, but Voldemort comes pretty darn close!

Ralph is an amazing actor. No matter how disgusting Voldy can be, Ralph really charms you.

Voldemort CANNOT be without Ralph at the helm! Ralph is an amazing actor and his portrayal of the Dark Lord is both chilling and is a mind-blowing, sinister ride.

Ralph Fiennes, Alan Rickman and Helena Bonham Carter dominate every scene they're in, and convince us they can impose their will on any situation. Ralph as Voldemort, just a perfect choice!

I feel like they picked exactly the right man to play Voldemort. Especially in the fourth film.

I remember when I read the books I was really scared about how could someone play the Dark Lord in the films, because he's supposed to be the scariest character and it just seemed impossible.
And here he is, Mr Fiennes' portrayal of Voldemort creeps out everyone, it's just perfect and mind-blowing.

When it comes to Ralph Fiennes - I confess myself *not* disappointed.

Ralph Fiennes plays Voldemort perfectly! I would be terrified too!

Voldermort is just a scared litle child, with a power complex. Ralph does an incredible job.
