Ralph Fiennes comments on Voldemort's laugh in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 2
During a chat with philosopher Slavoj Zizek at a School Of Life panel in London this week, actor Ralph Fiennes answered fan questions about his career, but weirdly enough one came up about his now-iconic laugh as Lord Voldemort in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (about 9 minutes into the video). The full chat, where Fiennes discussed his love of Russian arts and literature as well, can be watched below.
Ralph Fiennes: “I can’t actually remember what that scene was or why I did it.”
“It wasn’t useful going into it as evil. I just thought, ‘I want to destroy Harry Potter, he is really annoying me and the world will be a better place without him in it’.”
