Rade Serbedzija to play Gregorovitch in Deathly Hallows
 

Yesterday it was reported the actor Rade Serbedzija was cast in Deathly Hallows. More information has been revealed, including who he will play in the final Harry Potter films. The 'brief but very important' role he will portray will be that of the famous foreign wandmaker Gregorovitch, whom Voldemort met during one of Harry's visions/dreams in the final book; Gregorovitch was also briefly seen during a flashback with a teenage Grindelwald (played by Jamie Campbell Bower).

Of the role, which he announced this past weekend at the Zagreb Jewish Film Festival, Rade had this to say:

Rade will begin filming this November.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be released on November 19, 2010 and July 15, 2011.

okay, another character in place.

I imagined Gregorovitch a bit . . . older, perhaps? But if the casting people thought he was suitable for the role, then I shall trust them. ^_^

Ah, so Gregorovitch after all.. He's not really how I imagined him, but then again, who is? I think he'll make a good Gregorovitch *nods*.
And yeah, I imagined him a bit older too.

hmm interesting...in the book, JKR described Gregorovitch as a "trussed up Father Christmas", so I guess Rade matches that description, a little. Cool!

Hm, I bet with a little makeup, he'll be perfect! :D

Anyway.

Gregorovitch? I imagined him with a loooong scraggly beard and a gaunt face but that's what makeup and wigs are for right? I've never really heard of Rade before so I don't know how he is as an actor, but I'm sure he'll do an excellent job.

Awesome! He's alot more powerful than I imagined, but i guess Gregorivitch couldn't be weak because he had the Elder Wand for so many years. I love this casting!! :D

I can definitely see him as Gregorovitch. He was one of the few characters I never had a clear mental picture of. I'm getting more and more excited about the next move by the second! :dobdance:
