Too Cool! Those are all really good books. So glad to see HP in the top ten. *wow first to post* (that is a first for me) |
yahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... ........................ |
That's great!! |
I agree w/ some of those books, but certainly not all. |
Niiiice. But, personally, I find the top three much, much more deserving. ;) And the sixth, seventh and eight are great choices, too. =) |
Why is it Animal Farm? It's not a bad book, that's for sure, but I think 1984 is much better, both in style and metaphysics. Nice to see the Prisoner up there, though. Not the one I would pick as the best novel of the series, but then again, I'm no literary expert like those who voted for The Da Vinci Code! :lmao: |
Wow, greatest novels of all time! That is a HUGE deal! That is way awesome; it's also my favorite of the series  Go Jo!! Quote:

To be fair though (and I'm nothing if not that!), The Da Vinci Code was, to an extent, quite readable. But all-time top five? Come on. I have more trouble figuring out my daily's Sudoku than the clues in that book. :D But quite possibly this 2000-people poll conducted on the Internets is not the last word in literary criticism. ^_^ [edit] Or is this about George Orwell? Hm... |
Of cooouuurse prisoner is up there :D |
I'm very happy that one of the HP books is there, though I'm a bit surprised that it's Prisoner that was chosen and not one of the others. |
wow thats cool ! those books on the list are very very good books! congraaats |
YAY! It's my favourite of the books :D I think it's a good list, I'm also glad to see 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wadrobe', 'Pride and Prejudice' and 'Lord of the Flies'. |
WOOHOO! That's one of my favorite books too! |
Great. But number nine? Seriously, it deserves better! |
It is nice to know people understand how awesome the hp books are even if they dont read them |
Top Ten! Yay! |
Sweet! ^_^ |
Great!! is a very good book!! it deserves it!! |
i was just wondering, with all these greatest novels list, why do they keep lumping LOTR as just one entry and HP as 7 different entries? since HP is a series much like LOTR and Narnia shouldnt they just evaluate JKR's work as a whole and not piecemeal? |
no lie dudes but i like the movie better then the book :) it's more action packed then the books dudes!! |
awesome!! And I totally agree, POA is the best of all!! |
I'm not surprised !:) |
WOOOO! That's a great list! And POA is my favorite book of the series. |
Whoo hoo!!!! :D |
it should have been in the top 5 :D |

I'm glad to see a HP book represented on the list. Several other books on the list are wonderful as well... Actually, I think I've read them all... |
great....all HP books qualify for these lists. |

Secondly, I am very pleased with the top ten. Thirdly, to the quoted comment. I'm not sure, but I think I remember hearing that LoTR was merged into one GIANT book and maybe that was what it was counted as. I could be wrong because Lord of the Rings is yet on my To Read: list. |
Wonderful! One of my favourite too :D Woot! LotR in second and CS Lewis in third! That's so cool! |
Wow, this is awesome! The Harry Potter books find success everywhere! |
Ninth? ;| Well, it's better than 0 I suppose. |
Wait...It should be much higher! PoA is one of my favs.:). But LotR is very boring to read.. |
Although I like POA, I still think that some of the other books in the series are better. Personally, I liked HBP better than POA. Quote:

That's awesome! That proves that Harry Potter is a classic because those books are classic books! HP3 is my favorite book! :) |
that book deserved it!!!! it was really well thought up and i loved it!!!!!! |
Wahooo!!!!! |
HP should definately be before Animal Farm but that is still really cool. PoA was always one of my favorite HP books |
Woot, go PoA! |
