The Military magazine 'Preventive Maintenance Monthly' printed in May 2004 (which we reported on here), is now under investigation by JK Rowling's representatives. Quote:
A spokeswoman for film-maker Warner Bros said: “JK Rowling and Warner Bros Entertainment value and protect their intellectual property rights.”
And a spokesman for Rowling confirmed that they were “looking into the matter.” He added: “The US Army have not approached us or Warner Brothers for any copyright use.”

I think they do really look like the real characters from Harry Potter. Those people say they dont, but we all know they really do. They are going to be in trouble for not asking J.K. Rowling or Warner Brothers for any copyright use whatsoever. I really do dislike spoofs of Harry Potter anyways... *sighs*

The shame is this was actually a brilliantly crafted spoof. The irony of it being WB and JK probably only became aware of it because of HP sites reporting it as it was published well over 6 months ago.

I thought if you parodied something it didn't fall under copyright infringement. Something like that was happening here with a richie rich, george bush comic, and they mentioned something about that.
