If anyone else is British you can check in the newspaper, The Daily Mirror. I expect Mugglenet will probably have it confirmed later.
The ad reads, at the bottom
"NOW OPENING BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY MAY 31st
DUE TO UNPRECENTED DEMAND"
That's whitsun bank holiday.
And that date replaces where June 4th should be, on the official ad. No other date is on there, just May 31st. It's on the official poster with the trio in front of the forest and sirius in the background.

Sorry, I got a teensy bit excited.
I suppose May 31st will rake in more money, 'cause it's a holiday, but it's in the holidays anyways. This is so cool. The premiere is on the 30th, so if I stay overnight in London, I could go see it in the Odeon where the premiere was held the night before.
How sad does that make me? LOL
I'd be like, "Wow! Alan Rickman might've stood in this spot!"
Yes, I am sad lol.

I'm staying in London after the premiere too, I got tickets for the first showing on the 31st.
I'm hoping to get a posterboard from the barriers like I did for CoS.
But I'll also try and see it on the 29th as well.

They're bound to make more dosh now, seeing as it's the bank holiday, but the 4th was in the half term school holidays anyways. Clever, clever marketing WB.

Yes, very clever marketing, because being a bank holiday most of the parents will not have to work either so they can take them, I bet they make an absolute fortune at the box office in that one day! Hope it beats Spiderman anyway, as much as I love Spiderman, POA has gotta beat it, I can imagine me going to see it more than once anyway! |

I've seen PS and CoS 5 times each in the cinema. I plan to do the same, if not more, for PoA.

See? Now everyone can stop whining about the US getting a British film first. Happy?
Have I mentioned in the past five seconds how I am really excited HP is less than a month away?
