New UK Half-Blood Prince release date: July 15, 2009
 

We have received confirmation from Warner Bros that the UK release date for Half-Blood Prince has been pushed up by two days; it will now be out the same day as in US, on Wednesday, July 15, 2009.

Other international dates are listed on the Half-Blood Prince official site.

WOW!!! I still Don't understand why they changed it by TWO days!? Oh well, makes me happy!!

well, I got that part....silly!! I meant why change any of them at all! I guess extending the opening weekend by two days makes them more money..... that makes sense now!

Great. But what makes me a little annoyed is that why couldn't they have just changed it when they changed ours (US) to July 15? Better yet, when they announced July 17, they should have just made it July 15.

whatever the date is.....there is nothing anyone can do about it other than whine and go see it when it comes out....

LOL!! I am not from England and i am whining....I have to see this in Ireland because that is where i will be at that time. Not whining because of Ireland....it is my 2nd home, whinging because of the disgusting old cinema that is in the village I will be in....i swear it was built in the 1750s and this is NOT the huge new cine-plex i envisaged seeing HBP in....ah well!

Im glad its here earlier (even if it is only two days) but i wanted it to come out on 17th July cus thats my birthday.

I'll be 17 and i wanted to celebrate it by watching the first showing of Harry Potter. I'll just have to celebrate 2 days early. :)

I agree with you, it's great and all that it's coming out early, but if you've already made arangements, then they all have to be re-done, not all of them can be..

I was really looking forward to go to the midnight showing at a 3D cinema with my mate on the friday because i break up for summer that day... so i'm gunna see it on the wednesday and be completely tired when i go into school the next day... but i think we're off to Blackpool on the Thursday.. so all's good :) then i'll go to see it again with my other best mate on the friday! :)
