New Scans of The Black Family Tree
 

As previously reported, J.K. Rowling donated a handwritten note, containing details about the Black family history, to Book Aid International for auction. New scans from the Italian Newspaper, La Repubblica, are now available to view. You'll find that areas of the Family Tree are still blurred, as per Jo's request.

UPDATE:

The scan reveals several important things:
- One of Phineas's siblings names is Sirius, and another looks like Elladora
- Draco Malfoy was born in 1980, as suspected; Narcissa in 1955.
- Drusilla Rosier (?) looks like the name for Bellatrix, Andromeda and Narcissa's mother, connecting the Malfoys to the Blacks.

First of all, it looks like the Longbottoms are on there and the name Potter is mentioned I think... Does anyone but me think that Jo is giving us a BIG GIGANTIC hint? it just seems like there are connections there that could fill in a lot of theories.. and, like everyone, i'm ITCHING to see what the blurred names are...hmm i have photoshop and a picture.. and an evil mind....

If the potter on the Black Family tree is related to Harry Potter, then that technically means he is related to Sirius, techincally meaning that he can own the house of Black too, he is a rightful owner. Ok, I know ppl know that since the 6th book came out, but just pointing out a point...

Ahhhgggh, The blur, it hurts... That's really sadd, because I'm going to be dying to know what those smudges are! (bounces up and down, then realizes just how long she will have to wait to find out... droops) She's smart for doing that, but boy is it infuriating!

OMG ! This is interesting...I saw a Potter,a Longbottom,a Rosier (isnt thatthe last name of the guy who was going to kill WitherWings/Buckbeak?),a Crouch and a Burke. all those name are familiar....I know mostly all purebloods are somehow related but to see it like that in Sirius' family tree is just astonishing.

Whoever Neville's relative is, it can't be his grandmother because she would have been burned off the tree. And Potter...maybe Harry's grandparent's? or Great Grandparents? or er... hmm.
Also, If Narcissa had Draco when she was 25, was that also the age that Lily had Harry. Would that mean that they went to school together or was Narcissa a bit older?

Ahaha, There's a bit of incest as well... And The Weasleys I'm sure have been burned off. Anyways, I'm really happy about seeing the family tree!

Harry is shocked that Sirius is related to the Malfoys. Sirius then goes on to say that he & Molly are related by marriage & Arthur is a second cousin twice removed. Doesn't
that make Ron related to Draco? All the pureblood families are interrelated & James was of pure-blood also! Fascinating that a Charlus POTTER marries a Black ....
Of course we do not have the names of the grandparents.... that would give away who RAB is!
The grandfather that Sirius says 'bought' his Order of Merlin First Class is very intriguing to me... ( the medallion is mentioned along with the locket found at the OotP headquarters)
Regulus Black was only 19 or 20 when he died & hadn't really had the time [or motive?]to be the very powerful wizard that it would take to have switched the lockets in the cave?

Phinneas Nigellus was a Headmaster at Hogwarts.. and that Charlus Potter.. was the Uncle of a Malfoy. WOW. I'm going to be staring at this thing all night long.

But are the names that are married.. are those thier new last names? It's brillant.

I'd like to know what those blurred names are as well.
