Just asking, did you guys like the Order of the Phoenix videogame?
While the design of the game was breathtaking (I mean the castle was flawless!), the actual tasks were .. boring and you never really lost the game ..
My personal favorite game was CoS. It wasn't design perfect, but it was really a fun game. I loved that you actually had to go on a quest for spell books.. instead of Hermione knowing everything and teaching it to you in two seconds.
Just wondering if anyone thinks the same? | i loved the OOTP video game. i played it on the PSP and Wii platform. and indeed the layout of Hogwarts and the grounds is one of the best things about the game. i actually enjoyed the tasks, looking for DA members and doing challenges. i mean not everybody would be so willing to join an underground resistance movement, and being students they have their own concerns-- homework primarily being one of them . its also a clever way of exploring Hogwarts and having the chance to do different sort of spells at the same time.
what i think is a missed opportunity on the Wii was a really good dueling game, either at the Dueling Club or fighting as a group around the castle grounds/ dept of mysteries. i enjoyed it immensely on the PSP despite the kooky controls (i tell ya Wingardium Leviosa/ Incendio is a pain to do on the PSP, which unfortunately is one of the most common spell that you have to do to get tasks done). but now that they've added the duelling segment in the HBP game, the Wii platform is the console to play HP on. I thought they were fun - except I can't get Luna to lift the thestral food, try as I might! And I know katiebell is having the exact same problem! | what platform are you playing it on? when i played it on the Wii it took a bit of practice to figure out how to get the food up the hill (and Luna nagging you to hurry up certainly doesnt help  ), but i finished her task pretty quickly, just Wingardium Leviosa the food one 'stone level" at a time, ignore Luna nagging, and i was done :D
the Luna task for the PSP was different, and i think more challenging. i had to bring down the Weasley Twins' Portable Swamps which were hidden on the roof part of the courtyard. obviously there is no ladder so i had to move big rocks and benches all aroundso i could climb. took me days to figure it out because Luna was giving wrong instructions!
but yeah i love this game. unlike the other games that i have, even when i've finished it i still play the dueling part specially when i feel like letting off some steam :mwaha: |
