^ Yes .. we've known for a while Dobby isn't in the film. And Matthew Lewis and Dan Radcliffe were seen filming scenes by a lake. Put two and two together and it seems Neville will give him the gillyweed. Which is a clever substitute because Neville <3's Herbology. And we all know Neville deserves more screen time ;)

Neville is the one who gives HArry the Gilly weed. I'm so sad about that. But since they cut dobby Neville is a good choice since he does like Herbology

The gillyweed definitely doesn't look like what I expected it to look like. and since when did Neville have gillyweed? I dunno..

In that one with Dumbledore talking to Harry and Cedric, then Harry looks so short compared to Cedric..

Snape looks really mean in that one of him and McGonagall.. hes almost kind of scary..

But I absolutely love the pics!!

4. I thought the mermaid was a picture and not stained glass because in the book it says that when Cedric was in there she was giggling at him? But it still is neat.

Oh and another thing Tao, McG taught Snape when he was at school. Reason #38473 why that pairing is just WRONG.

Is there actually a protocol of what a dragon breathes? I mean I know most people assume a regular fire, but these are dragons... their fire could be different. lol

The mermaid portrait is so far the most beautiful portrait in Hogwarts.

I wish they would show us the other Champions during the first task but in the book Ron just tells Harry everything... Yeah...

They look great!! I love the mermaid's portrait. And as for the gillyweed, that's not how I imagined it, I thought it was like a pill or candy or something like that :lol: Wierd, I know, but I thought it was the pill of gillyweed extract or something. I don't mind that Neville is the one giving to him, he deserves more credit than he is been given in the movies. I Love Snape's expresion, which compared to McGonagall's, totally different!! And Krum!! *sigh*

I normally don't like when they change things from the books, but I like the idea of Neville giving Harry the gillyweed. Neville deserves the screen time.

I agree. Good twist actually, an example of the director or the scriptwriter deviating from the original, but making it effective nevertheless. Dobby had too much screen time from CoS anyway. :D

But what about that stained-glass mermaid, eh? It looks good--in another movie probably. I imagined it to be an oil painting, kinda like the classic ones like Venus, with the mermaid all shiny and blond. The gillyweed looks like a plant project I made in the second grade, nothing like the disgusting, slimy thing described in the books.

That'd be hard to do seeing as the house elf storyline was cut.

I immediately could think when I saw Necille with the Gillyweed that he will give it to Harry instead of Dobby as I have heard that they cut Dobby from the film, and Harry must have his gillyweed from someone. I think that they make up the scene in the chamber of secrets film where Neville fainted because of the mandrakes. In the book that did not happen!

The picture is of Alan Rickman NOT Snape...I know he plays Snape but well Snape is Snape and Rickman is Rickman...
