Mary GrandPre, the artist for the Harry Potter novels, is a Minnesota native. Therefore, it was natural for the home state to feature her in an interview with the Minnesota Public Radio!
In the interview, the massive sellings of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows are discussed, along with how GrandPre feels now that the series is over.

I liked her illustrations for all the books, but DH's definitely took the cake. They were absolutely perfect! It must be neat to be able to say that she was part of the series, and was responsible for bringing parts of them to visual form for us before the movies. She did it well!

Her art, especially the chapter art, is part of what makes me unable to put the book down. I look at the top of the chapter and see this little hint of what is to come and I just HAVE to know what it means... and then the rest is finishing the book in only one day
