Jo donates Black family history to Book Aid
 

As was previously revealed, J.K.Rowling donated a handwritten note, containing details about the Black family history, to a Book Aid International [a charity which supports literacy in poor countries] auction. Details about this item have now been revealed.

The Daily Telegraph today published a preview of the note. It contains a Black Family tree.

Scans from the newspaper [showing the Tree and a close-up image of it] can all be seen here.

It includes mentions of a Flint, a Bulstrode, a Potter, a Longbottom and a Crouch.

The tree and other auction items will be on display on February 20th at 24 Maddox Street London W1. Tickets to this event cost £10, with the proceeds going to charity. They will then be auctioned off the following day - the Black family tree page is expected to sell at a very high price.

which basicaly means that harry is releated to Sirius! and Neville!

He's also related to Draco somewhere along the line. They're all inter-related, purebloods, though I never expected it to be that extreme. lol.

I just noticed that. Maybe that will play a part in book 7? It looks like every pure blood is related in some way

We knew that in book 5, I think. Or we at least knew Malfoy and Black were linked.

Lol, that complicates my ship a little :) Just kidding. They seem to be distantly, distantly related. It looks like Harry's related to Millecent... weird.

It goes to show that, like was said in HPOP, most wizarding families are related. That was a great thing for Jo to do and it is a great piece of HP memorabilia to have.

I thought about that since book 3 when me and my friends were talking,weird
hua i guess that makes me a relly relly big harry potter fan when i knewq in some way that harry was related to voldormort (i didnt guess that he would be related to sirsus and nevile and ron) (does this mean he could be related to ron and his family that would be weird becasuse you know that if you read the seventh book that he is going out with Ginny)

Well cousins can marry in this country and we knew purebloods married between families to keep the purity going. Plus it's distant so that's not a problem, I wouldn't imagine.

Well,well,seems like J.K. still has a lot up her sleeve. I wonder what the importance might be of their link, cause I doubt that this is coincidence. Well, up to book 7 or who knows with a little bit of luck, we'll get a booklet on the history of the family Black like we got " Quidditch throuigh the ages" and "Magical beasts and where to find them".
