JK wont attend World Peace Conference in 2005

It was previously reported that J.K.Rowling had been invited to attend a World Peace Conference which was slated for May 2005 to be held in Spain.

Her literary agency, Christopher Little, have informed The Leaky Cauldron that there is no truth in the previous report.

hmmmm how strange... w0ouldnt she have just given birth if that was true like a month before?

EmmaRiddle 12-07-2004 10:12 PM

Well when did she announce the pregnancy? October? November? By then she must've been about 3-4 months gone with only 5-6 months to go so yeah the latest she'd give birth would be May, the earliest being March.

I think it's more to do with people claiming she was going for publicity without actually knowing if she could or not.

Singularity 12-07-2004 10:13 PM

hmm...odd..

angels-in-my-heart 12-07-2004 10:16 PM

Oh, well....she wouldn't be able to go would she, she's got too many other things, e.g. a baby on the way....

Kazters 12-07-2004 10:20 PM

lol and hopefully geting ready to release HBP

prettyinpink 12-07-2004 11:20 PM

shes probably busy.......

potterxfan04 12-07-2004 11:44 PM

it is odd, but i agree, she is a pretty busy woman ...

TonksSB 12-08-2004 12:41 AM

Yea, she's going to be really busy. Hopefully with HBP, plus Baby Rowling or probably Murray, but whatever. And she announced she was preggers in July, no Oct.

Edge 12-08-2004 01:34 AM

Hmm... they must've gotten their first report from unreliable sources...

Starbreeze 12-08-2004 03:43 AM

Baby and Harry Potter HBP are more important than some World Peace Conference! i mean to say this but not in a mean way, lol.

RedMartini 12-08-2004 04:10 AM

^yeh. ^_^

emmafreak 12-08-2004 04:26 AM

Too bad she won't be going, but I can see she's pretty busy. This must all be exciting for her!

Madame_Tonks 12-08-2004 08:03 AM

Stupid rumours!

dan_4_elle 12-08-2004 09:04 AM

very strange indeed

AccioSnuffles 12-08-2004 09:25 AM

oh well it would have been a nice conference to attend.

katiesmith_151 12-08-2004 10:25 AM

I don't think she needs the publicity and her new baby and family is and will be probably the most important thing to her especially around that time!

serenasnape 12-08-2004 10:43 AM

Hey, maybe... since her publishers are releasing this as false, the book will be released in May..... Hmmmmmmmmmmm..... wishful thinking I know..... you know, publicity tour and all!!!!!

loony 4 ........ 12-08-2004 01:12 PM

Well its her choice.............she knows what to do

Aurora Rain 12-08-2004 01:20 PM

She knows what she is doing and she probably is really busy:D

yup, there can never be world peace until she finishes HBP. so there's no point in her attending the meeting
