JK named President of One Parent Families

Thanks to TLC for this information about JK Rowling being named President of the One Parent Families Charity.

I'm really glad that she's been doing this. One parent families have it much harder then you think. It's nice that she takes the time to realize that long ago she was in the same position. Even after she has a lot of money.

I was talking to mon pere last night about that bit of news (saw it earlier on MuggleNet), and he thought it was really awesome. So awesome, in fact, that it inspired him to take us to the county soup kitchen and animal shelter this holiday season to do some good deeds for people and animals in our community.
