J.K. Rowling's "The Casual Vacancy": First photos of book's size while shipping out
 

Several photos have been released this past week from the KNO VA company in Stuttgart, Germany, where thousands of copies of the German-translated version of J.K. Rowling's new book, The Casual Vacancy, are being packaged to be sent to retailers around the European nation for its release on September 27.

Images of the book, titled "Ein plötzlicher Todesfall" (translating to 'a sudden death'), which finally gives readers an idea of how thick the hardcover book from the Harry Potter author actually is, can be found below. Do note that the German versions of The Casual Vacancy are 576 pages long, over 60 more than the English-language sets.

I wonder why the German versions are longer...

I'm beginning to wonder if I should've pre-ordered.. I was planning on just buying it the day of the release from Walmart or something. They'll have it, right? [:/]
