J.K. Rowling updates official site on Pottermore, photos from London press launch

Photos from the London press conference and launch at the Victoria and Albert Museum of J.K. Rowling's online and interactive Harry Potter book experience site, Pottermore.com, which took place on Thursday afternoon GMT have been released online. Also, after years of desertion, Rowling finally updated her official site, JKRowling.com, to announce the unveiling of Pottermore. Images of Jo with young fans testing out the new site on Vaio computers, which belong to investor Sony, and standing before a grand sign that states 'POTTERMORE by J.K. Rowling' can be found in our galleries.

You may have recently noticed a number of owls on various websites leading you to a YouTube film, where I have announced my latest, exciting piece of news.

POTTERMORE is a new web site, where you can enjoy an online experience based around the Harry Potter books, which includes exclusive new information from me. If you would like to see the announcement film please click here.

Whilst you'll hear more from me on pottermore.com at the moment, jkrowling.com remains my own personal website for various content such as updated biography and bibliography, and links to relevant organisations, including the charities I support.

Don't forget to sign up with your email for Pottermore. Note that the first million to sign up won't necessarily gain access to the beta site on July 31st, so there's no worry about signing up as soon as possible.

After 17 hours of reloading the page the day it was announced - I got onto the page. If the actual website is going to be ANYTHING like that, I don't think I'll be able to stand it lol. Sony better make some changes then.
