J.K.Rowling says some will "loathe" Deathly Hallows The Scotsman has a preview of the J.K.Rowling documentary (A Year in the Life...JK Rowling) due to air on ITV1 later this year. The show documents a year of J.K.Rowling's life during which she finishes Deathly Hallows and the manuscript is whisked off to her agent. The programme is said to have "unprecedented" behind-the-scenes access with the author. Quote:

A few great books in history were not quite popular when they first came out. Books are written for the author's purpose first, everything else is second. |

I'm sure many will loathe it. Like she said, that's the nature of any work of art - some will love, some won't care, and some will hate. It just goes with being an author. :) Too bad I can't see this. :( I'm so disappointed! |
The only reason, no matter what happens, the only reason I could loathe it, is because its ending :(. I'd never loathe it for what happens though. |

Okay, wow, i'm about to make a hundred enemies on this site, but, the greatest series of all time? come on people. i find the characters engaging, the world interesting and the conflict reasonsably sympathetic, but i won't go out there and say its above absolutely everything ever written to date. first of all, i haven't read everything. i love these books. i love the world. they've provided me with a lot of comfort and escape when i've needed them, and i think of some of these characters as my friends, almost. So when the series is done, I'm going to be a little sad because it's just plain done. I wouldn't want an 8th book because that's taking things too far, but still, it's sad that the anticipation is now all over. But no matter what happens to Harry, Ron, or Hermione, or anyone else in the book, the only way I'm going to hate it, is if it's written poorly. Sure, I'd like to see Harry and Ginny live happily ever after, with Ron and Hermione living next door, and Neville having kicked Bellatrix's butt, but if it doesn't happen that way, then I can deal. As long as it's well written. |

People could end up hating it because she kills Harry off or because she didn't kill him off. Lmao! I'm going for the latter of the two cause I know many people want Harry to die...it being the way of the hero and all. Whatever whether he lives or dies I know I won't hate the book. She just better not kill off Crookshanks cause then the Hippogriff poop will hit the fan. -is totally joking- :P! |

I feel sorry for her, there's so much pressure to write this book well, imagine how many people are going to read it. I don't really mind if Harry dies as long as it's written well, but I will be devastated. But I really can't believe they are coming to an end. It's been a part of my life for 9 1/2 years and I'm going to miss the anticipation of waiting for the next book so much!!! |

I'm not sure how will I feel, but I don't think I'll hate. It'll be sad, if Harry dies, as well as if Snape. Every character is important for HP series to make the book complete. So...we'll just have to wait and see =)) |
