Apparently Muggle is a British term for non-wizard person, according to a new report from the set of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The American term for a non-wizard person is a 'No-Maj', short for no magic. So this is a more accurate term for the character Jacob Kowalski, played by Dan Fogler, who was revealed as a Muggle that Newt Scamander befriends.

Noooo... I won't accept it.. I'll always say Muggle, even if I was born American.
I don't know about everyone else... but I don't know how I feel learning about how different American wizards are. I grew up reading about how I thought all wizards were in the books, and now I'm learning about how I, as an American, would have been different... and I don't like it as much 
Like, I wouldn't have gotten an acceptance letter to Hogwarts or bought my wand from Olivander in Diagon Alley... I'm just going to imagine I would have been British  | |
