| | | HBP wins 'Best Seller' award
' Half-Blood Prince' has won the Best Seller Award for being the top-selling book in America in the year to August 1st, despite the fact that it was only released on July 16th . Quote:
Its tally of 6,397,000 copies was more than double the nearest challenger, Dan Brown's "The Da Vinci Code," which sold 2,261,000, according to Nielsen BookScan, the co-sponsor of the awards, which were presented on Thursday in New York.
"No politics, no judges' panels. They are very simply a true celebration of consumer choice," said Jerome Kramer, editor of The Book Standard, which presented the awards.

That basically means HBP sold more copies in the US in 2 weeks than any other book did in the whole year.

Wicked!! Thats really cool! I didnt expect that HBP has sold that much compared to Da Vinci Code. Woah more than half! Congrats to HBP!
Congrats also to Da Vinci Code. It has sold a really great amount of copies.
But HBP still came out tops!

Yay! Congrats to HBP and Jo on another well-written book! Everyone knows she deserves it for taking such a long time to write (what I believe to be) the most excellent book series in the world.
