Back in
January we told you that Warner Brothers had applied for planning permission to refurbish Leavesden Studios in Watford, England, where the Harry Potter films have been shot during the last decade.
The site will
become a new production base for the company, with new stages and admin facilities being created, estimated at a cost of £100 million. It is thought that the development will be a boost to the creative industries and will provide employment opportunities.
Improvements are to include a Harry Potter attraction that will cater for 5,000 visitors a day and feature a tour of the sets used for the movies. It is said to be aiming to open in 2012.
