Brand-new footage from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was shown at Las Vegas' ShoWest convention earlier today. FirstShowing viewed the screening, hosted by Alan Horn, president of Warner Bros, and gave brief summaries of what they saw: Quote:

Ralph Fiennes' noseless Voldemort-- had dots on his face marking the future digital alteration that really makes him who he is. But they weren't just bold in what they showed us, but how they did it-- the first scene of the extended trailer was Harry and Voldemort's confrontation in the woods outside Hogwarts. Harry, bloodied and visibly terrified, approaches a cold Voldemort (flanked by Bellatrix Lestrange); Voldemort taunts Harry, "The boy who lived, come to die."

We saw little bits of everything, from the seven Harry Potters escaping from the Dursleys house (totally surreal) to the attack at Bill and Fleur's wedding to the escape from Gringotts on the pale dragon and even Hogwarts on fire. With unfinished effects it's hard to really say how it all looks, though some of the most effective moments were the simplest-- Ron and Harry's fight in the tent, Harry visiting his parents' graves, running away from the Snatchers in the woods, Harry defiantly telling Voldemort that he stays alive "because I have something worth fighting for."

The footage started with Voldemort walking in the forest with all of his followers around him. He was looking for Harry. While I assumed the footage was going to be just from the first Harry Potter movie coming this November, I think the opening was from part 2 and it was from the big climatic battle between Harry and Voldemort!
So we see Harry coming towards Voldemort partly beat up and with a look of nervousness. It was then we cut away…

I think I am very nervous... Sounds like they are getting things right, but then again, sounds like they are adding a bunch of stuff (In the forest looking for Harry and burning Quidditch stadium?)

wow...so waiting for DH...
UPDATE: wow...i am so so waiting...the Ron and Harry fight was something that made me gasp!...i coudnt fathom how Harry and Hermione would continue without Ron untill he came back and saved Harry...i am so waiting for this...this will be an actual clash of the two best friends after 3 years...last being 4th year i guess...  ...

My jaw drops at Hermione on a broom alone!? Damn right!
I'm wasn't a massive Hermione fan, until book 7. And everything she goes through and the epic moments she has in thinking at least 1 or 2 steps ahead...it's about time that girl got on a broom for the films. But for OOTP promo photography, I feel like there's a shot of her on a broom...I think it was on a DVD.

Oh I don't know if I want to watch it for fear of spoiling the film for me (like HBP) because that was a lot of footage there and it will make it seem like it's ending even faster. I desperately want a preview of the Ron/Harry fight BUT I don't want to watch the part with Harry coming to Voldemort because it's the most climatic part of the film.
Ahh I'm so torn but I bet if SS put up the video, I'd be the first to eat my words and click on that video and scream, "OMG," from the excitement. You don't want me to relapse now do you SS?  EDIT: Quote:
