Half-Blood Prince wins 2009 Teen Choice award
 

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince won the Choice Summer Movie Action Adventure category at this year's Teen Choice Awards, which took place yesterday evening.

The telecast for the programme will air Monday evening on FOX at 8PM EST; it is unknown if any Half-Blood Prince cast or crew members were in attendance to receive the award, though it is unlikely as the majority of them are at work on Deathly Hallows filming.

In addition to Half-Blood Prince's win, actor Robert Pattinson (Cedric Diggory in Goblet of Fire), was the recipient of several Teen Choice Awards this year for his work in Twilight, including Choice Movie Actor Drama and Choice Movie Rumble.

Isn't it surprising how it won the Teen Choice Award and lots of time here is spent raking the movie over the coals for inaccuracies and omissions. Guess we should think about that for a while.

Really, so many people were very dissapointed with it, but if it wins an award, it obviously can't be that bad. I loved it!

Twilight is ok never seen it but I think its ok but HBP is wayyyyyyy better. Me, mom and dad agree!!!!!!!!!! but at least HBP got one. I was kinda sad when I saw that twilight got 8 more than HBP but...... whats done is done and I learnt one thing....... some teens are crrrraaaaazzzzzyyyy over twilight!!!!! hehehe

What is the teen choice awards? I think I watched that when I was like 8 years old.

But I'm glad HBP one an award...I'm waiting for the Oscar nominations to come in though. I really hope HBP gets nominated for a cinematography, Best score, and special effects Oscar. Jim Broadbent deserves a best supporting actor nomination so hopefully he will get that. :D

Wait!!! Twilight won more awards than HBP?!!! Those that voted for Twlight do know that on the critics choice lists right before the Oscars it was chosen as the 9th worst movie of 2008 right? Seriously this is why they dont trust us to vote for anything properly lol (even though Im a teen!). But yeah it was the teen choice awards and I guess Twilight is a teen movie...unlike HP which is universally appealing. HP movies have always gotten good reviews even if it wasnt Oscar worthy!
